Prof. Malek Bajbouj has longstanding expertise in building up mental health care facilities in low and middle-income countries such as Jordan, Northern Iraq, and Vietnam in various joint projects with the BMZ, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, German Ministry of Health, GIZ, EU, and different foundations. Together with an interdisciplinary team has developed various digital tools to overcome mental health care barriers including apps, online training formats, and neuropsychological diagnostics. Focusing on affective disorders, Dr. Bajbouj conducts research and develops interventions for antidepressant treatments.

Prof. Dr. Paul Lukowicz's research focuses on context-aware ubiquitous and wearable systems including sensing, pattern recognition, system architectures, models of large-scale self-organized systems, and applications. Amongst other funded projects, Paul Lukowicz is the coordinator of the large HumanE AI-Net (EU-project) and of the Sustainable Embedded AI project (Carl Zeiss Stiftung), he acts as editor for various scientific publications and has served on the TPCs (including TPC Chair) of all major conferences in his research area.

Prof. Dr. med. Edda Weimann has successfully transformed hospitals to reduce their negative impact on the environment and climate for many years. She also lectures and speaks on climate change and health, global and planetary health. She has received several national and international innovation and sustainability awards. In addition to publishing articles and textbooks, she has published a management book with Springer Verlag in the second edition on sustainability in hospitals and is co-author of the book "Planetary Health - Life in the Anthropocene". She is a member of various international sustainability networks, think tanks and steering groups and advises international organisations on sustainability and climate action.
