Former professional football player
MEDICA MEDICINE + SPORTS CONFERENCE: "Racing heart"
Daniel Engelbrecht started his professional football career at the age of 17 with Bayer Leverkusen. One year later he moved to Alemannia Aachen and played there for 3 years. In 2012 he came to the club VFL Bochum to the 2. Bundesliga, before he signed a 3-year contract with Stuttgarter Kickers. In 2013 he collapsed on the pitch during a game with a heart rhythm disorder. He survived.
Since 2019 he's all over Germany with his keynotes "Herzrasen – Die 3 Säulen der Zielerreichung" and "Herzenssache – Stark bleiben in schweren Zeiten". He is constantly trying to help other people in bad situations or young talented soccer players not to make the same mistakes he did.
