The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), in collaboration with Carl Zeiss Meditec AG and Evonik Healthcare, has developed a groundbreaking method for restoring eyesight: printing a new cornea during surgery using a laser-based process with personalized bioink. This innovative solution, known as the "VisioPrinTech" process, addresses corneal disorders, a common issue among the aging population.
