Battery-powered heat pad and self-extinguishing battery cabinet: Ansmann AG presents world firsts at COMPAMED 2022
(Assamstadt/Düsseldorf 2022) With an overheating-proof heating foil as a wheelchair cushion and the first self-extinguishing battery storage system ANSMANN AkkuSafe, the experts for battery and charging systems from Ansmann AG are once again demonstrating their innovative strength at COMPAMED 2022 - even far beyond their core business of battery assembly and charging technology. As a partner in medical technology development for battery systems and power supplies, the developers and producers of mobile energy solutions have been active for many years. The company's production is DIN EN ISO 13 485 certified. (Hall 8a/M33).
++ Freshly patented: a medical heating pad that cannot overheat ++
The battery-powered heating pad for wheelchairs, which ANSMANN is showing for the first time at COMPAMED, is the world's first application of a completely new generation of heating foils: unlike previous heating solutions on the market, the heating foil can be cut, creased or folded as required. In addition, it cannot overheat due to its material properties. The heat distribution in the surface is thereby completely even and thus very pleasant for the user. Each product which has a maximally 1m × 1m large surface in arbitrary form to which a low-voltage current supply can be connected, can be equipped immediately with such a heating foil, in order to supply an even pleasant warmth

ANSMANN has another world first in store with its AkkuSafe at COMPAMED 2022: The ANSMANN AkkuSafe is the first steel storage cabinet for rechargeable batteries with an extinguishing system in one solution. With 440 l storage volume, the newly developed battery transport and storage cabinet is perfectly suited for all users who have several battery-powered devices in use and are responsible for their safe storage. The attached granulate box automatically empties itself into the storage box in case of high heat development and extinguishes possible fires in the bud. In addition, it seals off the batteries against possible fires in the surrounding room. Since the extinguishing system is removable, the AkkuSafe can also be used as a safe transport box for batteries.
