Our Fetal Monitor iCTG has been included in the WHO compendium of innovative health technologies for low-resource settings: 2022.
– clinical assessment- WHO technical specification comparison- regulatory assessment- technology evidence assessment- health technology and engineering management assessment- intellectual property and local production. The products have passed the six stringent assessments listed above. For the 2022 edition, 15 products, including prototypes and distributed products, were selected from all over the world. This was a very valuable opportunity for Japan to promote its technology to the world, as only a few Japanese products have been included in the WHO’s compendium. According to UNICEF and other organisations, up to two million babies die during childbirth each year. We would be very happy if our products, by being listed on the WHO list, catch the attention of more health authorities and healthcare professionals struggling in the field and reach them, leading to the saving of as many lives as possible. We would like to thank the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW), all the people involved and the Melody staff for their support in publishing the list.
