Similar to the InMotion ARM, the InMotion Arm/Hand can safely treat patients with a broad range of deficits & needs - from severe impairment to high level strengthening and coordination. With InMotion ARM/HAND, the therapist can effectively work with patient on both proximal and distal movement retraining in an isolated or modular fashion:

In 2016 BIONIK acquired Interactive Motion Technologies (IMT), a global pioneer in the world of rehabilitation robotics. The InMotion Robots of today were first developed as an MIT research project called the MIT MANUS. In the early 1990’s, MIT MANUS was the first rehabilitation robot to be deployed in clinical trials. Based on what are now modern-day multiple neuroscientific principles, the MIT MANUS introduced a number of innovations, such as increasing ten-fold the number of repetitions possible per session, and the concept of “Assist-as-needed” technology.
