Cell Microarrays

sing Cell Microarray (CMAs) it is possible to study the interactions and behaviors of cells face to different stimuli. CMAs can be created by spotting different cell binding molecules such as extracellular matrix proteins

Once immobilized, it is possible to follow the cell response to various study conditions via end-point bioassays such as DNA synthesis, protein expression, cell-to-cell interactions, cell differentiation states and production of gene products

The InnoScan 1100 allows for the following of three biomarkers on a single scan

The whole high-resolution CMA scan is done in one fully automated process, in which focusing is assured due to a high-performing automated algorithm developed by Innopsys that works regardless of the CMA support (polyacrylamide gels, PDMS or other)

Cytogenomics and Medical Genetics

Array CGH (aCGH) analysis to determine chromosomal Copy Number Variation (CNV) is nowadays a routine laboratory technique on cytogenetics research and diagnostics

aCGH is widely used for prenatal and postnatal genetic screening (PGD and PGS), as well as for genetic analysis of complex diseases such as cancer

aCGH commercial slides contain probes spaced throughout the genome according to the International Standards for Cytogenomic Arrays consortium (ISCA, now ClinGen)

Rapid and accurate analysis of patient samples is essential for the identification of genome instability

In this scope, Innopsys has developed an auto-setting function dedicated to oligo-aCGH slides in which all the scan parameters are automatically adapted to the slide format and fluorescence to get optimal signals in compliance with slide vendors QC metrics

Protein arrays

Proteins are considered to be the key effectors of cellular response to external stimuli.

Differential expression of key proteins can modulate cell fate, either cell differentiation, proliferation or death. Protein microarrays are a powerful tool for high-throughput screening of protein expression due to their capacity to miniaturize thousands of single points of analysis

High-throughput screening requires of highly precise detection systems to increase assay sensitivity and dynamic range. The InnoScan scanners allow for the detection of heterogeneous samples with weak and strong protein levels simultaneously

Multiplexing is achieved through the detection of two (InnoScan 710 & 710-IR) or three (InnoScan 1100) fluorophores simultaneously, while the resolution and dynamic range are adapted for any type of protein array, either functional, analytical and reverse phase protein arrays
