Opinions on the Telenotarzt
Decision-makers and users are enthusiastic about the Telenotarzt

"We see the Telenotarzt in our rescue service primarily as an instrument for quality assurance and quality improvement. Especially before the arrival of the emergency doctor, the emergency doctor can take important measures for the treatment of the patient together with the emergency paramedics. In addition, we can deploy our four emergency response vehicles elsewhere in a more targeted manner."

Ralf Rademacher, Managing Director
Rettungsdienst im Kreis Heinsberg gGmbH

"For us, it is impossible to imagine our daily service without the telenotary doctor. He is an integral part of our work in the field, and when he is actually needed. You quickly get used to it - although he's not physically present, he's still always there when we need him."

Pascal Keschenau, Emergency Paramedic
Aachen Rescue Service

"In our rural area, the journey to the hospital can sometimes take a little longer. If the patient is vital stable, the tele-emergency doctor can accompany the patient to the hospital, so that the emergency doctor is again ready for his original area of operation. Furthermore, in our area, the tele-emergency physician also handles simple, physician-assisted transfers between two inpatient facilities."

Timm Laslo, Head of Own Operations
Rescue Service County Vorpommern-Greifswald

Our history
The original since 2014.
The origin of the success story of umlaut telehealthcare GmbH goes back to the beginnings of the cooperation between researchers, developers and users of the Clinic for Anaesthesiology of the University Hospital of RWTH Aachen, the Aachen Fire Brigade, the Aachen-based company umlaut communications and RWTH Aachen University. The technical and organisational feasibility of telemedical support for rescue services was initially demonstrated in the research project "Med-on-@ix" (BmWi 2007-2010). Within the framework of the follow-up project "TemRas - Telemedical Rescue Assistance System" (NRW 2010-2013), the foundation was then laid for the Telenotarzt system that is successfully in use today.
