deXtreme™: The Next Movement in Post-Stroke Rehabilitation Robotics

Rehabilitation robotics technology for post-stroke therapy
Error enhancement based therapy for stroke patients using rehabilitation robotics.
BioXtreme's unique technology reduces neurorehabilitation time by up to 50%.
How it works
A unique robotic system applies motor error amplification forces in a combined
virtual environment to restore and rehabilitate movement and dexterity.
The increased error forces stimulate an adaptive corrective response from the patient, leading to regulation of the system until the desired trajectory is achieved by the patient.

The procedure reduces upper limb therapy time by up to 50% and patients achieve 100% additional motor improvement compared to conventional physical therapy methods.

Validation & Results
Three clinical trials were completed in Israel and provided the following results:

Neurorehabilitation time for stroke patients reduced by up to 50%

Up to 100% improved motor outcomes(compared to patients using other technologies)
Two additional clinical trials are currently underway in Leuven (Belgium) and Tel-Aviv (Israel) with a total of 80 patients.

deXtreme™ 3.1 has completed the development phases and is ready for market, and the device is FDA and CE registered.

BioXtreme's unique methodology and technology is patent protected worldwide.

About us

Company portrait

Our vision
Current statistics show of more than 25 million victims of neurological injuries worldwide annually, most of whom experience a prolonged, limited and sometimes excruciating rehabilitation period. Our vision and mission is to facilitate and shorten neurorehabilitation therapy while improving physical outcomes and quality of life for patients with stroke and other neurological injuries.

Even the most effective technologies that integrate virtual reality, robotics, and automation into traditional therapeutic procedures do not offer a new treatment approach. BioXtreme's patent-protected Error Enhancement technology will revolutionize neurotherapy by introducing an exciting new therapeutic modality.
