Company portrait
Recognized as a non-profit organization, CiS Forschungsinstitut für Mikrosensorik GmbH is a business-oriented research institution in the fields of microsensors, microsystems technology and silicon detectors.
It primarily conducts application-oriented research and development both on behalf of companies and for public clients.
We rely on more than 25 years of "competence in silicon" from research and development to series production.
The CiS Research Institute is an affiliated institute of the TU Ilmenau.
On behalf of and with the support of federal and state ministries and authorities, future-relevant research projects are carried out that contribute to innovations in the public demand sector and in the economy.
The receipt of the non-profit status is the result of a successful R&D strategy, which focuses on a timely non-discriminatory exploitation of the results. Profits are used exclusively for non-profit purposes. All income is thus fundamentally used for the benefit of research and development.
The institute is supported by the CiS e.V. association.
