Blister machine KBS-C medplus

Developed for the most demanding requirements, the next generation KOCH medplus convincingly continues our competence. The innovative machine concept combines a large moulding area with extremely small machine dimensions. This compactness, plus simple construction and set-up, enables alternating use in the normal packaging area and in clean rooms up to ISO class 7.
Whether syringes, instruments, surgical sets, medicines, treatment sets or needles: The KBS-C medplus packs small and medium batch sizes in quick change, with high cycle rates and outstanding blister quality. Innovative processes are used for this purpose: The patented Smart Heating applies the heating energy in a precisely dosed manner and, in combination with Smart Forming, ensures that the blisters are filled with the right amount of energy
for reduced film consumption and perfectly formed blisters.

Productive packaging of large runs of the same or similar products. Processing all common films just as reliably as the cardboard qualities from cyclePac®. This is what the KS-PL sealing machine and the KBS-PL blister machine with linear pallet transport are all about.

Characteristics of both machines are the large format and sealing area, for example for large-format standing blisters or hanging blisters with Euro perforation, as well as the pallet section. This can be loaded manually or by robot. The user-friendly, easily visible design allows full control of the production process at all times.

A wide range of medical technology products can also be packaged on both machines. For example in blisters with card or in wallets. In addition, both the KBS-PL and the KS-PL are suitable for secondary packaging in the clean room.

The performance data of the blister machine KBS-PL at a glance:
Forming area: 250 x 500 mm
Mould depth: 67 mm
Seal format: 238 x 580 mm
Output: 20 cycles/min. depending on packaging material, shape, size and sealing time

Blister machine KBS-C medplus receives German Innovations Award 2021

Last year, special machine manufacturer KOCH Pac-Systeme in Germany, expanded its machine portfolio in the medical technology industry, with the blister machine KBS-C medplus. The machine has now been honored with the prestigious German Innovation Awards for 2021. The innovative machine concept of the KBS-C blister machine convinced the jury and was judged to be the "Winner" in the competition class "Excellence in Business to Business" of the “Machines & Engineering” category. Markus Böhringer, Application Field Manager Medical Technology, and Kai Kunzmann, Product Manager, proudly accepted the award. "According to the German Design Council, our 1st prize recognition honors the innovations that advance the industry through their originality, implementation and effectiveness - which we have succeeded very well with the KBS-C medplus blister machine," says Markus Böhringer. "In its compactness and with innovative forming processes, the machine meets the highest requirements for the packaging of medical products. The clean design and quick set-up allow alternating use in the clean room (up to ISO class 7) as well as in normal packaging areas. This is exactly the flexibility and attention to detail that blister machines in medical technology require. And there is still further potential here." Kai Kunzmann continues. ...Our design department is currently working on the continuing development of the KBS-C product family. Detailed news will follow soon".

The German Design Council has been operating since 1953 as one of the world’s leading centres of

expertise in communication and knowledge transfer within design, branding and innovation. Since 2018, the “German Innovation Awards” has been presented annually by the organizer. With almost 700 entries in 2021, the German Innovation Awards achieved a great response once again. The award honors forward-thinking companies for their innovative strength in various categories. The focus lies on products and solutions across sectors, which differ from previous solutions mainly by being user-centric and offering added value. The entries are evaluated by a jury that is made up of independent, interdisciplinary experts from industry, science, institutions and finance. Main criteria such as: level of innovation, user benefits and efficiency are the basis for the adjudication process.
