The entire central sterilization department faces the challenge of guaranteeing sterility and patient safety throughout the logistics process

Packaged instrument baskets go through about ten manual operations before they enter the OR. Thus, there is a real risk of damage or perforation. Belintra has logistics solutions that prevent this.

At the beginning there are the Sterisystem® Dry-Base® instrument baskets. They are available in different sizes in a standard version or equipped with a Steri-TOP lid in different colors. Once packed, they are placed on a non-slip silicone mat in a Sterisystem® Pro-Safe® stainless steel wire basket or stainless steel wire shelves

The baskets are available in different heights to accommodate larger packages and are stackable. Both wire shelves and baskets are available in ISO (60 x 40 cm) and DIN (60 x 30 cm) sizes.

From now on, the wrapped instruments no longer come into direct contact with hands or racks.

Transportation between the ZSA and the storage facility and from the storage facility to the OR is done in open or enclosed Stericart transport carts, which are specifically designed to safely and sterilely transport Sterisystem Pro-Safe carriers. If sterilization takes place externally, stainless steel transport trolleys ensure safe transport to the hospital.

Storage in Belintra UBeFlex® racks provides better visibility, facilitates selection and prevents damage from instrument baskets stacked directly on top of each other. To save even more space, certain hospitals opt for the UBeTrack™ high density storage racks.

Thanks to Belintra's logistical sterile system process:

1.Save costs and time because no damaged or perforated sets have to be re-sterilized.

2.Is the surgical team always satisfied because there are no delays due to last minute returns during surgeries.

3.Above all, you are taking a big step towards greater patient safety.

BELINTRA - Safe storage of pharmaceuticals and mobile IT

As part of the accreditation of care facilities, the computerisation of patient records, including the associated procedures, is becoming increasingly important. And secure locking and controlled access to medicines must also be increasingly considered. Belintra offers different solutions for mobile workstations and access control of medicines.

The Medicart with roller shutter is locked via an electronic combination lock that can be individually set.

For the Medicart with drawers, there are different options for fully automatic locking. If the trolleys are not computerised, there is also the option of locking via a battery-operated keypad with PIN code. The keypad is ergonomically integrated into the work surface and the PIN code can be set individually. It can also be configured with a badge reader instead of the keypad.

For IT-equipped Medicarts, the lock is controlled by the built-in mini-computer via USB. In such a configuration, locking and access control can be controlled by badge, password or other identification methods. The selection of the setting mode for unlocking and locking the drawers can either be selected in advance. The selected drawers will always unlock and lock together. If a drawer remains open after locking, it will be locked automatically when pushed in.

The Medicart Standard or Medicart Small with IT equipment and also the Roll-IT are particularly suitable for viewing the electronic medical record before administering medication.

These models have a built-in mini computer, WIFI antenna and a COW controller. The COW controller is a smart charger with built-in dual DCDC conversion and USB connection to the PC. This also monitors battery status and keeps a log file of charging / discharging.

For the battery you can choose between a VRLA battery or a LiFePO4 battery. The battery charge level can be visually checked using the "Battery Monitor Software" via the LED on the Powered Back Pack and via the PC screen.

The Medicarts with IT have an external housing for the installation of the mini-computer as well as for the smooth connection of screen, keyboard, scanner, badge reader, etc. In the Roll-IT, the existing aluminium housing is provided for this purpose

In addition, both models have height-adjustable support for the screen as standard.

The Roll-IT can also be separated from the medication trolley. In this way, the doctor has the possibility to consult the electronic patient file during his tour, to give explanations to the patients in the patient room and to adjust the drug administration plan in real time if necessary.

Both the medication distribution trolleys and the Roll-IT are made from high quality materials that are suitable for use in a medical environment and are CE certified. As the drawers of the Medicart Standard are available in several colours, they can also be personalised.

All medication distribution carts and roll-ITs feature swiveling wheels to ensure smooth maneuverability. Combined with the height-adjustable screens, you can provide your staff with an ergonomic work tool.

And at least as important, mobile access to the electronic medical record and the introduction of locks and access controls for medication distribution increase patient safety and better control of medication distribution.

And at least as important: mobile access to the electronic medical record and the introduction of access control for medication distribution increase patient safety.
