FP 70 - Low-pulsation pump for reliable transfer of important liquid media in medical equipment

The KNF FP 70 is self-priming and can run dry, handles the liquid transfer gently and cleanly and is chemically resistant. Thanks to the integration of pulsation dampening technology, there is no need for additional pulsation dampening elements and tubing when using the KNF FP 70. That means, the pump can operate with particularly low pulsation even where space is limited.

The system’s requirements also come first when selecting the motor: The smooth flow pump can be equipped with motors of different performance classes, and their parameters can be precisely customized. The low pulsation pump is fully equipped for a smooth flow.

The KNF FP 70 achieves a flow of up to 850 ml/min. and is developed for an operation up to 2 bar (29.4 PSIG) pressure. Furthermore, the patented 4-point-valves ensure the reliable self-priming of the pump. Thus, no additional priming pump is required for filling and draining the system.

In medical applications, where equipment is often in direct contact with the patient, a smooth flow pump can also have a positive impact. Less pulses are transmitted from the liquid to the tubing and from there to parts applied to the patient, helping to make treatments a less stressful experience.

The low pulsation pump technology used in the KNF FP 70 improves the pump efficiency, as pressure resistance in the tubing is reduced and flow performance is significantly enhanced. This can be a crucial factor if small tubing is used. It also reduces bubble formation, which helps to keep the liquid properties in a steady state and therefore increases the process reliability.

FP 1.150 for quiet liquid transfer in medical devices

With a maximum flow rate of 1.1 l/min and a suction height of up to 2.3 mH20, the FP 1.150, an addition to the FP 150 pump series, offers a powerful maximum operating pressure of 6 bar rel. Good compatibility with chemically aggressive and abrasive liquid media, in addition to low pulsation and minimal shearing force – these are the typical characteristics of this smooth flow pump.

By interlacing the flow and the pulses generated by each of the 5 diaphragms, a very high and yet smooth flow is achieved in the diaphragm liquid pump. This helps to efficiently transfer liquids through long tubing with smaller diameters, since smooth flow pumps reduce pressure loss. It also minimizes vibration of the tubes, which can be bothersome to the process.

N 96 - Diaphragm vacuum pump and compressor: Powerful for medical equipment technology

Wherever reliable or precise feeding of liquid or gaseous media is required, the N 96 is ready and waiting. Compact and powerful, it conveys even aggressive or corrosive gases and liquid-gas mixtures. Thanks to its robust design, it serves a wide range of media with a temperature of up to 70 degrees Celsius.
With a diaphragm made of EPDM or with PTFE coating, the N 96 is chemically resistant and has a very high steam and condensate compatibility. This makes the pump ideal for the typical task of gentle and precise preparation and feeding of samples for analysis. Furthermore, the safe suction of mixed chemical liquid waste is one of the applications where the N 96 shows best performance.


Equipped with a brushless, highly efficient DC motor, the diaphragm pump dynamically maps even complex operating profiles thanks to speed control. Thus, the N 96, which can be used at ambient temperatures of up to 50 degrees Celsius, itself produces only low heat emissions. The NMP 850 HP micro gas feed pump is available in both single-head and double-head versions. It operates reliably and maintenance-free with an ultimate vacuum of 200 mbar absolute and an operating overpressure of 2.5 bar relative.
There are many possible applications: with a flow rate of up to 16 l/min, the micro diaphragm pump can be used, for example, to dispose of sample residues. Since the analysis of biological samples produces mixed chemical liquid waste, a robust and reliable pump is required at this point. The KNF development team met this requirement with a pump head made of resistant PPS, seals made of highly chemically resistant FFKM, FKM or EPDM, and a diaphragm made of FKM, PTFE or EPDM.



In single-head design, the NMP 850 HP prepares samples and transports them in liquid form via pressure-over-liquid or as gas for analysis.



In a two-head design, the Micro Diaphragm Pump handles the degassing of liquid samples. The gases dissolved in the sample can influence the accuracy, reproducibility and performance of the analysis. Installed in an analytical system, the specific vacuum can be continuously adjusted by speed-controlled motors, thus ensuring precise results.
