Mila Rosa, answering
social needs through textile
Mila Rosa is a textile company with 58 years of experience, adapted for the creation of a new line of sanitary textile products.
Textile is in the DNA of our roots and is also our inheritance. The trade has been handed down to us from generation to generation, from manufacturing crafts to the implementation of the latest technologies that has allowed us to compete in a demanding market.
Mila Rosa emerged in 1962 as a family business and it is now during the second generation when it is at its greatest capacity ready for the international market. Knowledge of the sector, the constant challenges we face and the necessity of adapting to processes are the greatest assets that our brand has.
Tradition in the sector and experience in manufacturing processes is part of our background. Those are the true core values of the company. They force us to constantly evolve and be attentive to the needs, new situations and new demands that may arise in society.
In the situation of a global world pandemic, there is need to provide answers, not only produce but manufacture textiles “for life”, products that are capable of being used for fighting threats from viruses with adequate parameters of quality.
Textiles have become an essential instrument in the fight against the invisible enemy.
In Mila Rosa we have been able in record time to undertake all the necessary steps to adapt and be in a position to manufacture health products and “textiles for life”. This is how we have developed our Mila Care production line.
Our company has made a significant investment in both machinery and facilities to adapt to the demanding processes of sanitary production. We have created a clean room that is subjected to specific conditions. Amongst them, the pressurizing of the room by 10 kilopascals that ensures a hermetic seal against external particles. In addition, this room is permanently subjected to microbiological control.
We have the ability to produce products that are 100% manufactured in the European Union. Products that have maximum guarantees of reliability accredited by the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products.
The certification given by the official institutions provides confidence and security for our clients.
Amongst the milestones already achieved, Mila Rosa has been licensed by the “Spanish Medicines Agency” and can therefore manufacture non-reusable surgical masks and waterproof surgical gowns.
Business cooperation
In addition, the current situation demands a greater response capacity that is more agile, that is capable of meeting the demands of the society and that can also offer satisfactory service and this is the scenario that has made possible the creation of Prosan Medicare a joint venture in which Mila Rosa and four other companies in the sector participate. Combined experience and above all the shared culture of industrial quality is set as a differentiating value.
Prosan Medicare guarantees the capacity to manufacture medical devices in high volume and is able to deal with large orders, that way we do not depend on foreign markets when it comes to ensuring we have the necessary sanitary products.
The transformation towards sanitary textile production is creating employment in our areas of manufacturing and is generating a circular economy and in addition provides a benefit for the environment by eliminating long-distance transport between continents, which is so harmful due to CO2 emissions.
On the other hand, the engineering and research departments of our respective companies are already working on the creation of new products that are more respectful towards the environment, starting from materials and the manufacturing processes oriented towards the total recycling of the materials used for production.
