AIRVO 2 - Optiflow - Nasal High Flow

AIRVO 2 - Optiflow - Nasal High Flow
A humidified Nasal High Flow system designed to treat your patients across the care continuum.

Broad flow range
A broad flow range (2 to 60 L/min) takes your patients from the most acute environments (ICU and ED) to the home.

Transportable
A system with a built-in flow generator means there’s no need for a noisy, heavy air compressor in order to use the Airvo 2 for transport. Add a UPS and you’re ready to go.

Variety of interfaces
A variety of interfaces specifically designed with Optiflow High Flow therapy in mind.
At higher flows comfort is paramount - you need an interface designed for the job.

1. Controlled oxygen
Add and titrate oxygen separately from flow rate.
From .21 (room air) to 1.0.
FiO2 displayed onscreen.

2. 93% less condensate*
AirSpiral™ heated breathing tube with integrated dual-spiral heated wires and temperature sensor.
No separate temperature probes or adapters required.
 * When compared with the 900PT501 Airvo tube in internal Fisher & Paykel Healthcare testing.

3. Adjustable temperature
Three temperature settings, 37, 34, 31 °C.

4. Transportable
Mobile pole, oxygen bottles and transport kit designed for a UPS.

F&P 950 System - Redefining expectations

Introducing the F&P 950 Humidification System
The F&P 950 is a premium performance humidification system designed to be easy to set up and use, minimize condensate, and provide advanced protection.

Improving patient care and outcomes is at the core of what we do
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare is passionate about producing world-leading healthcare solutions and is driven by innovation to enhance user experience and deliver greater health benefits. That is why we have advanced the design of the MR850 to produce the F&P 950, a heated humidifier that offers even greater usability and system performance.

Premium System Performance
The F&P 950 System delivers consistent humidity over a wide range of environmental conditions, and up to
70 L/min with Optiflow™ Nasal High Flow therapy.*
*Flow rates above describe technical capability of the product when used at sea level. Ensure clinical judgement is used when prescribing flow rates. Maximum flow rates achieved are ventilator dependent. Refer to the manufacturer’s instructions for correct usage.

What happens when humidity drops to 90%?
A study conducted on sheep trachea compared the effects of humidity and temperature on mucus transport. As seen in the video, the results showed that after 15 minutes’ exposure to a 10% decrease in humidity, secretion clearance was impaired and debris remained deposited in the airway.

Integrated Probes
Temperature and flow probes have been integrated into the inspiratory limb and sensor cartridge, contributing to easier setup of the F&P 950 System. The integrated patient-end temperature sensor is disposed of with the single-use circuit, eliminating the need for disinfection or sterilization.

Interactive Touch Screen
With an adult circuit connected, an interactive touch screen offers selection of Invasive, Mask, and Optiflow modes via a drop-down menu. While operating in either Mask or Optiflow mode, the temperature can be adjusted to support patient comfort.

Fewer Assembly Connections*
The number of connections is limited to enable easy assembly and decrease the potential for system alarms due to incorrect setup.
*As compared to the F&P 850 System

F&P Evaqua

F&P Evaqua
Less condensate than ever before.
Evaqua is the world’s first breathing circuit technology that minimizes mobile condensate in the expiratory limb by allowing water vapor to diffuse through the tubing wall.

EVAQUA technology allows water vapor to diffuse out through the expiratory limb wall before it has an opportunity to condense into liquid water within the circuit limb or the ventilator. The result is an easy-to-use circuit which promotes a closed system and can reduce clinician intervention.

The technology of Evaqua has the potential to reduce the need for circuit breaks.
8 reasons to use Evaqua:
  • Minimizes inspiratory and expiratory limb condensate*
  • Reduces the need for clinician intervention to break open the breathing circuit
  • Reduces ventilation issues (auto-PEEP, ventilator dyssynchrony) caused by mobile circuit condensate
  • No water traps to empty
  • Reduces condensate buildup in expiratory filters
  • Alleviates ventilator alarm issues related to expiratory block condensate
  • Saves clinician time
  • Easy-to-use system, 14 days duration of use

* Average result found in internal Fisher & Paykel Healthcare testing compared to conventional F&P circuit.

F&P Nivairo™ Full Face Mask

F&P Nivairo™ Full Face Mask

Take care of the pressure
We understand that the NIV journey can be a stressful time for both patients and clinicians.
The F&P Nivairo full face mask incorporates thoughtful design features that help to address the challenges you may face along the recovery journey.

RollFit™ seal
The soft seal rolls back and forth automatically to adjust to the natural contours of the nasal bridge to help reduce pressure.

TubeFit™ nasogastric seal
The nasogastric (NG)/ orogastric (OG) tube seal zones reduce the risk of over-tightening to maintain a seal. This also helps reduce the amount of pressure required for a seal over the NG tubes.

ErgoFit headgear and dual-swivel elbow
The adjustable headgear and dual-swivel elbow are designed to help reduce cushion pressure on the bridge of the nose.

Comfort care
Patient discomfort remains responsible for up to 33% of NIV failure(3). This can be due to irritation from leakage, incorrect mask sizing or overtightening of the headgear.
The Nivairo full face mask helps bring homecare comfort to the hospital as it uses the same comfortable seal technology as Fisher & Paykel healthcare's award winning Simplus™

Nivairo Product Range
Our full face NIV mask is available in four sizes, including an extra small model to suit a wide range of patient face shapes. There are also single limb, dual limb, vented and non-vented mask options to suit the different NIV therapy needs of your patients.

Optiflow Junior 2 - Nasal High Flow

Optiflow Junior 2 - Nasal High Flow

Nasal High Flow
Nasal high flow (NHF) is a mode of noninvasive respiratory support that delivers high flows of blended air and oxygen through a nasal interface

NHF provides a range of benefits to neonates, infants, and children
There is increasing evidence supporting the use of NHF in neonates, infants, and children. NHF typically improves therapy success and decreases the need for escalation of care when used early and cohesively across the hospital compared to standard oxygen therapy.

Waveflex™ technology for prong stability and easier readjustment
The Optiflow Junior 2 cannula uses Waveflex technology to allow for natural facial movement when a patient’s cheeks are compressed. This improves prong stability in the nostrils.

Wide range of sizes and flow ranges
Optiflow Junior 2 offers a range of five cannula sizes with flow ranges from 0.5 to 25 L/min to provide respiratory support for even your smaller patients.

Wigglepads™ 2 allow for easy application and adjustment of the cannula
Wigglepads 2 retains the same technology as the original Wigglepads and applies it to unique shape of the Optiflow Junior 2 cannula.

Optiflow Junior 2 uses FlexiTube to minimize condensate build-up
The FlexiTube is made with a breathable material to reduce condensate build-up by allowing water vapor to diffuse through the membrane to the outside of the tubing.

Optiflow Junior 2+ XXL
Nasal Interface
Bridging the gap between the XL Optiflow Junior 2 nasal interface and the small-sized Optiflow+ nasal interface.
Product Features
The Optiflow Junior 2+ XXL Nasal Interface features larger tubing than the Optiflow Junior 2 to offer the potential for using higher flow rates of 1 to 50 L/min and it is MRI compatible when used in combination with oxygen tubing (OPT014).

WigglewiNG™
The F&P WigglewiNG can be used in conjunction with the Optiflow Junior 2 Nasal Interface and Optiflow Junior 2+ Nasal Interface range to stabilize a nasogastric (NG) tube to the patient, while maintaining the ability to remove or reposition the interface if necessary.
