Certified Manufacturing of Diagnostic Devices

Companies producing diagnostic devices often source multiple manufacturers for various parts

Our Diagnostic Device Services

low-cost disposable diagnostic devices. We manufacture products ranging from electrochemical
sensors to microfluidic devices. In particular, Screentec Oy focuses on rapid diagnostics where
affordable, disposable sensoring plays an integral role. Our diagnostic platforms include paper
and adhesive-based microfluidics as well as screen printed electrochemical sensors. In addition,

IIR Surgical, FFP2 (N95), and FFP3 (N99) Masks
Quality source, in-house manufacturing for scalable certified mask production.

Reliable Mask Supplier
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, medical device manufacturers, healthcare companies,
and providers face a hurdle in obtaining the masks needed for both research and patient-facing
applications. In particular, masks with COVID-19 filtering capabilities prove especially scarce.
Once a supplier is found, sources may run out or limit quantities, leaving companies scrambling
for a reliable distributor. Wait lists for masks can halt a company’s research timeline and put
patients and providers at risk. As well, issues arise with verifying mask authenticity and quality
since some distributors produce non COVID-19 filtering masks. Keeping these needs in mind,
Screentec Oy designs and manufactures certified Class IIR surgical masks and FFP2/FFP3
filtering respirators, entirely in-house.

Our IIR Surgical, FFP2 (N95), and FFP3 (N99) Masks
Our Class IIR surgical masks are CE marked. As well, both our FFP2 and FFP3 rated respirators
are certified for protection against COVID-19 within Finland, and are pending CE mark as of
October 2020. Our FFP2 and FFP3 respirators filter particles to a comparable degree to the
equivalent N95 and N99 respirators in the U.S. market. Each protects against COVID-19,
making them ideal for use in high risk situations, including in research, healthcare, and hospital
settings. For our customers’ health and peace of mind, we source all materials from a fully
Finnish supply chain and manufacture the masks entirely in-house at our Oulu, Finland
headquarters.

Mask Verification App
To complement our masks, we are designing an App in partnership with TrueMed to improve
traceability of ours and other masks for end users. The App will allow users to track the source
of the masks they purchase to ensure the final product protects against COVID-19 and other
pathogens. We aim to complete the App in January 2021, with iOS and Android compatibility.

well, CE certification is pending as of October 2020 for both our FFP2 and FFP3 respirators.
Further, Screentec Oy is ISO 13 485 and ISO 9001 certified.

In addition, Screentec Oy manufactures all masks in-house. We eliminate third parties to reduce
the cost and time between order placement and mask receipt. We do not outsource any
components of our mask production, so we maintain a consistent timeline and schedule. This
level of control ensures that we do not run out of our supply; when demand increases, we scale
production to match. As such, our clients rest assured their mask orders process in a timely
manner, without the delays often associated with purchasing through a third party.
Lastly, we ensure the quality of our masks by sourcing materials exclusively from within
Finland. Some countries capable of mask production do not maintain as rigorous standards for
their IIR surgical masks or FFP2 and FFP3 respirators, resulting in subpar protection. In the
midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Screentec Oy offers our customers the added security of
knowing our masks meet strict CE guidelines and our materials comply with EU production
regulations.
