Autoclavable video-adapter
Berliner Glas develops and manufactures video adaptors with fixed focal length e. g. for endoscopy. We are able to manufacture hermetically sealed housings with our proprietary key technologies such as glass soldering. The optics in the housing are moved without contact by an ingenious magnetic mechanism.
Therefore, Berliner Glas ensures fully functional lenses even after 500 autoclaving cycles in saturated water vapor.
In addition, we offer housings which can also be disinfected with
aldehyde and non-aldehyde-based cleaning agents. This makes the use of sterile casings unnecessary.
The video couplers of Berliner Glas are available in several fixed focal lengths and can be adapted to cameras of well-known manufacturers.
The lenses are produced as a private-label product in the housing according to customer requirements.

OEM RGB and white LED illumination modules
For surgical applications in ophthalmology the use of fibers that are on the order of 700 µm or less is typical. This allows the least invasive solution for the patient and is therefore highly desirable. The use of these small diameters with any illumination source is challenging due to the difficulty of coupling the light into the fibers.
Berliner Glas has developed an OEM high output illumination module that is capable of efficiently coupling LED light sources into even the smallest light guides or fibers.
