Why we make diagnosis easy, comfortable and accessible
Untreated sleep apnea patients suffer from a multitude of diurnal and nocturnal symptoms, such as loud snoring, sleepiness, irritability, headaches, insomnia, and difficulties to concentrate (3).
These alone lead to productivity loss and significantly increase the risk of provoking car accidents (4,5).
Moreover, unmanaged disease put patients in danger of developing hypertension, obesity, heart disease, depression, and stroke (6–10). This affects not only the health and wellbeing, but also creates a huge economic burden for the employers and the healthcare system (11).
Reducing the waiting lists and improving the access to diagnosis could not only save a lot of public and private funds, but also save many lives. This is one more reason that motivates us continuously, to help more people like Alice.
