Leipzig University of Applied Sciences (HTWK Leipzig) offers a combination of practice-oriented teaching and application-driven research. Compared to other higher education institutions in the region, HTWK Leipzig offers an exceptionally broad spectrum of engineering and technical disciplines.
More than 40 degree courses in the fields of engineering, economics and social sciences, applied media and information sciences, as well as informatics and mathematics, provide both sound academic knowledge and practical training. Currently, about 6,200 students are enrolled at HTWK Leipzig.
Long-term and wide-ranging partnerships with companies in the region and throughout Germany and Europe, as well as numerous externally funded research projects demonstrate the universitys research excellence. With third-party funding amounting to more than 10 million Euro per year, HTWK Leipzig is one of the top-ranking universities of applied sciences in Germany.
