Custom-made implants

We offer custom-made bone implants that are prepared in 3D printing technology from certified biocompatible materials. Implant preparation is a multistage process that includes:

1. Providing computed tomography results
The results of computed tomography should be provided along with the remaining necessary medical documentation. 

2. Consultation with the main doctor
Implants are created individually and each of them is created in close cooperation with the patient’s doctor to ensure the best possible results.

3. Development of a implant’s model
The next step is to prepare the implant geometry. It is based on the results of computed tomography. A visualization of the affected bone and the implant are  created. Depending on the complexity of the future implantation surgery, anatomical models and individual tools such as surgical templates can be also created at this stage. 

4. Consultation of the implant’s geometry and its acceptance
The final design of the implant in the form of a computer model and other documentation are presented to the main doctor in order of project approval. At the client’s request, we also offer the preparation of the implant prototype as an additional form of visualization. 

5. Implant preparation
The implant is made in 3D printing technology from certified biocompatible materials. The finished product is sterilized and delivered to the client in a sterile form, which saves time during preparation for surgery.

Surgical giudes

Surgical guides are an irreplaceable help in the surgical procedures planning process. They allow to significantly reduce the duration of the surgery itself. Guides are made individually based on the results of computed tomography.

The doctor who is making an order is always involved in the surgical guide designing process. This allows to present surgeon’s needs and to explain the course of the surgery to the lead engineer. On this basis, the engineer creates a design of a guide that is approved by the surgeon.

Guides are manufactured in 3D printing technology that ensures its high precision and quality of preparation. They are produced from biocompatible materials that are allowed for contact with body fluids. The final product is delivered in a sterile form, which allows its use during surgery without any additional preparation.

Indyvidual Anatomical Models

Anatomical models are of great help for specialists from field of surgery and orthopedics. They allow precise planning of complicated medical procedures. Anatomical models can also help doctor explain reasoning behind need for medical procedures to clients. Models of anatomical structures – both pathological and healthy – can serve for educational purposes.

We offer preoperative anatomical models based on medical imaging – CT scan – or pre-made STL model files. We prepare our models according to rigorous standards offering high quality of materials and manufacturing. In process of manufacturing we use various 3D printing techniques, witch allow us to offer technology best suited for our client individual needs.

In case of individually prepared models for medical procedure planning we consult whole process with medical professional, to offer most optimal technology and best model quality.

Anatomical models are irreplaceable help during process of surgical planning and preparation for complicated procedures such as: corrective osteotomy, spinal surgeries or comminuted fractures of long bones (in case of witch getting optimal bone chip placement is crucial). Accurate operation planning and its practice allows shortening of overall surgery time by 30%.

The anatomical models we offer can be divided into 3 groups that are presented below.  Each group is characterized by used material, quality of the final product’s surface finish. 

Basic quality: Anatomical models prepared in basic quality are great solution for surgeons who want to plan and practice the route of a surgery. The technology in which these models are created has an accuracy of approx. 0.2 mm. The used material is polystyrene.

High quality: Models of this quality are recommended as pre-surgery models and educational models. The materials used to produce high-quality models are polyamides. The technologies of producing this type of models allows to obtain an accuracy of up to approx. 0.1 mm.

Very high quality: The advantage of high-quality models is their transparency which makes the internal anatomical structures visible. The material used in this type of models is epoxy resin. The manufacturing technology has an accuracy of approx. 0.05 mm.

X-Ray Callibration Marker 25mm

Successful pre-operative planning based on X-Ray imaging require assortment of correct scale ratio. X-Ray Marker was developed specifically for this purpose: with calibration ball of consistent size and wide positioning range. By placing calibration ball inside X-Ray photograph frame surgeon can easily asses correct scale ratio and real sizes of examined anatomies. Knowledge of correct scale ratio is crucial for pre-operational planning of procedures such as: TTA and TPLO, providing way to match correct implant size.

Custom-made shell
The wheelchair's shell is prepared in 3D printing technology and its shape is custom-made. It is also made of materials intended for contact with the skin to ensure comfort and prevent irritation. These features guarantee a unique fit to animal's anatomy and high comfort of use.

Durability and lightness
The wheelchair’s construction provides ease of assemble and the ability to adjust the shell height and position of the wheels. Carbon profiles guarantee the low weight and high durability of wheelchair's construction.

Orthoses for Animals

We offer orthoses for Forelimbs and Hind limbs.

CABIOMEDE orthoses are an excellent solution for animal limbs requiring stabilization and protection during rehabilitation and recovery period. They can also be used in the case of animals with limb spasticity problem.

Orthotics are made of biocompatible and allowed for skin contact materials, which make them safety for use also during wound healing process. They consist of a polymeric external stabilizer, soft foam liner and non-slip pad. Orthoses provide stabilization in the wrist area and full support for the limb as they extend under the paw.

They keep the limb in a natural position and allow to unburden the limb during walk. An additional advantage of our orthoses is the possibility of heating them and refitting on the animal’s limb, which is very important, for example in the case of a reduction in postoperative swelling. 

Orthotics are available in sizes XXS to XL.

Hand Protectors

Hand protectors are intended for use during treatment of hand and wrist injuries.

They are available in the basic version – intended for everyday use and in the sport version – with increased durability allowing for active sporting activities. Each protector is made individually from thermoplastic materials, which are shaped directly on the patient’s limb. This guarantees a high comfort of protector use.

An additional advantage of protectors is the possibility of their heating and re-fitting, for example in the case of a reduction in swelling within the injury. Protectors are made of materials that are fully biocompatible and approved for skin contact.

Shin guards

We have created individually designed football protectors. They are designed based on 3D leg scans. The shell of fenders is created in the 3D printing process from high-strength materials. Each protector is padded with foam absorbing and absorbing the impact force. The individual shape of the protector guarantees significantly higher comfort during its use compared to serial products.

Protectors are in line with European Standard 13061 regarding shock absorption and shell strength.
