Wearable Light

CareWear has developed the first wearable, wireless printed light patches for athletes, prosumers and consumers. CareWear’s light patches are designed to relieve pain, decrease inflammation, accelerate recovery, and improve performance while reducing the likelihood of injury from overuse and muscle fatigue as demonstrated in published research.

CareWear’s medical grade products are FDA registered and available without a prescription, offering a safe, affordable, drug-free therapy solution. Rather than restricting treatments to a clinic or training room, injury and pain relief is now mobile and can be completed during training, at home, or on-the-go in as little as 30 minutes per day.

3D Patch Design

Three-dimensional (3D) conformability is highly desirable for any wearable technology. CareWear has developed multiple wearable light patches that follow the body contours and maximize movement without restriction. The use of extensive anthropometric data sets and clinical testing resulted in a family of light patches that were ‘best fit’ for applications from pain management to sports recovery.

CareWear uses index-matching films, adhesives and hydrogel in its patches to minimize interface distortions. The medical grade optical hydrogel is biocompatible, bacterial resistant and can be reused up to 20 times. CareWear light patches can be mixed and matched or nested together for customized body coverage.
