CETA Testsysteme GmbH as a manufacturer of leak and flow testing devices has more than 30 years of experience in industrial testing technology. Compressed air and hydrogen are used as test media. Several thousand CETA test devices are used in production lines by well-known industrial customers all over the world.
In series production a wide variety of products are tested for tightness, e.g. microswitches with a volume of 0.1 ml up to tanks of 1,000 litres. Depending on the application CETA leak testers with gauge pressure or differential pressure sensors are used. Available pressure ranges are between -1 and 30 bar up to 400 bar with the pressure rise method (e.g. testing of injection valves). Products whose flow rate is tested include membranes, filters and cooling ducts. With CETA flow testers a range from 3 ml/min to 200 l/min can be mapped by different laminar flow elements. The tightness of large-volume test parts can be tested by tightness testers with calorimetric mass flow sensor (available measuring ranges 10 to 600 ml/min). Very low leak rates up to 10-6 mbar*l/s can be detected with hydrogen leak testers. The usual industrial interfaces are available for the test devices.
The decision as to which test method is suitable depends, among other things, on whether the test part is directly fillable (e.g. container) or encapsulated (e.g. watches). In addition the production cycle, the specifications for measuring equipment capability and also the temperature of the test part during the test must be observed.
