Our products

Product category: DNA testing

DNA (Salmon Testes), sonicated

Genomic DNA sheared by sonication for use in hybridization experiments

  • Fragmented DNA with a size range from 200-6000 nucleotides.
  • Purified by phenol extraction and freeze dried.
  • Tested for absence of nuclease.
  • Suitable for blocking non-specific binding sites in hybridization experiments to reduce background.

KiloBase DNA Marker

KiloBase DNA Marker is used for quick and precise sizing of double-stranded DNA fragments from 500 bp to 10.0 kb on agarose gels.

  • For quick and precise sizing of double-stranded DNA fragments from 500 bp to 10.0 kb on agarose gels.
  • Supplied at 0.5 µg/µl in TE buffer (pH 8.0) in sufficient quantity for 100 loadings using 1 µl per loading after mixing with tracking dye.
  • Consists of 11 easily-identifiable bands at 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, 8.0, and 10.0 kb when run on a 0.8% agarose gel.
  • Bands stain with approximately the same intensity, except for the 1.0-kb band, which is three times the intensity of the other bands.
  • Not designed for quantitating DNA content in a sample.

Taq DNA Polymerase (cloned)

Highly purified thermostable DNA polymerase for PCR.

  • Highly purified recombinant enzyme.
  • Excellent batch-to-batch reproducibility.
  • Each lot is tested to be free of nuclease contamination.
Description
Taq DNA Polymerase (cloned) is the recombinant form of the native enzyme from Thermus aquaticus expressed in E. coli. Like native Taq, it polymerizes DNA from a primer annealed to a DNA template in the presence of deoxyribonucleotide triphosphates. Because Taq DNA Polymerase (cloned) is a recombinant protein, it is exceptionally pure and provides excellent batch-to-batch reproducibility. It has an optimum temperature of 75°C and can survive repeated incubations at > 95°C

PhastGel Buffer Strips

PhastGel Buffer Strips are available in three types - PhastGel DNA, PhastGel SDS and PhastGel Native. All are supplied as ready-to-use agarose blocks, making buffer preparation unnecessary. PhastGel DNA Buffer Strips are specifically tested for DNA separations. When used with PhastGel DNA Silver Staining Kit, they improve the sensitivity of detection.
