Converting and Coating Machine Demonstrations

Delta ModTech will feature a Crusader® Converter with their intuitive MOD-Track® Vision Inspection System. Over 30 years ago Delta designed the Crusader Converter from the ground up to be the most flexible and precise die cutting machine on the market. This first-of-its-kind rotary converter continues to be the industry leading narrow web die cutting platform. Delta’s MOD-Track Vision system allows setup and real-time results to be viewed and adjusted on the machines touchscreen operator interface, without an engineer plugging into the system. The demonstration will feature rotary die cutting, with closed loop re-registration, vision inspection and multi-layer lamination.

Also in Hall 8a Stand M34, Frontier a Delta ModTech Company, will showcase slot-die coating on their DynaCoat®. This turn-key coating and drying system has a small footprint and is perfect for lab scale, pilot scale or production coating. The demonstration will feature slot die coating to a precise thickness.

Demo #1: How to create a precision converted part
A Delta ModTech Crusader® converter will be demonstrating precision converted part. The system will feature a variety of processes including tight tolerance rotary die cutting, multi-layer lamination, precise part placement and our MOD-Track® Vision System, Delta ModTech machines can be found in the cleanrooms of tier one medical and pharmaceutical manufacturers. Typical applications include wound care and ostomy products, transdermal delivery systems, and POC diagnostics.

Demo #2: How to optimize the coating process
Frontier will feature their DynaCoat® in Hall 8A Stand M34. This completely self-contained coating and drying system sets the industry standard for coating process optimization. The planned demonstration will feature slot die stripe coating to precise thicknesses, the material will be dried and wound with servomotor control. The precision thickness control and chemistry saving capabilities of patch and stripe coating make slot die coating a perfect fit for transdermal and POC diagnostic manufacturers.
