Product category: Pumps

VACUUM PUMPS AND COMPRESSORS

This category consists of pumps for neutral and mildly aggressive or corrosive gases and vapors. These pumps are extremely popular thanks to the wide range of models and characteristics available.

SWING PISTON VACUUM PUMPS AND COMPRESSORS

Swing piston pumps produce oil-free compressed air and vacuum. They evacuate, transfer and compress air without contamination. The KNF swing piston system offer higher flow rates than diaphragm pumps of the same dimension.

DIAPHRAGM LIQUID PUMPS

The KNF transfer pumps combine maximum performance with minimum size. The use of chemically resistant materials enables the pumps to convey virtually any type of liquid, whether neutral or corrosive. They are dry-running, self-priming and maintenance free, and available with various hydraulic connections.

SOLENOID DIAPHRAGM LIQUID PUMPS

Liquid pumps with solenoid drive are a great choice if customers are looking for good controllability of the flow rate or even want to be able to deliver single strokes. They also have an integrated valve function, which prevents uncontrolled flow of liquid in off-mode (NC-valve). The linear drives achieve a very high lifetime of up to 10‘000h (>200 million strokes). The pumps are availbale with many different hydraulic connections.

DIAPHRAGM DOSING PUMPS

Our FEM dosing pumps are based on a very simple design. The stepper motor causes a cam to rotate and this, in turn, moves the diaphragm up and down. This vertical movement causes pressure changes in the pump chamber which, combined with the operation of the inlet and outlet valves, produce the pump action. The pumps are availbale with many different hydraulic connections.

DOUBLE DIAPHRAGM PUMPS

KNF double diaphragm pumps offer a high level of performance and greatly enhance safety, especially when working with dangerous, rare and valuable gases. A second diaphragm is located underneath the working diaphragm. The safety diaphragm has a significantly longer service life than the working diaphragm, thus ensuring that no gas can escape into the environment even if the working diaphragm ruptures.

Now even smaller for hand-held medical devices

When coming into close contact with medical devices, patients primarily expect these devices to be quiet and produce minimal vibration. For the manufacturers, size, weight and reliability also count — a lot of requirements for the integrated pumps. KNF addresses these demands with the newly developed NPK 012 swing-piston pump, offering an economical and high-performance solution.

As a partner of the medical device industry, KNF took on the challenge of finding an economical solution that allows more leeway in particular for the manufacturers of hand-held devices for medically indicated aspiration. With the new NPK 012 swing-piston pump, the technology leader in the area of application-specific pumps and systems is introducing a compact, light-weight model that is both affordable and high performing.

In spite of its flow rate of up to 13.5 l/min, the NPK 012 has been cut down to nearly 30 % shorter than previous models in its performance class. This also has a positive effect on the new pump’s weight, bringing it down to 600 g and making this model perfect for mounting in hand-held devices.

The brushless DC motor allows for excellent control. With a low energy consumption of just 43 W, the NPK 012 builds up 2.5 bar of high, continuous positive pressure, and up to 5 bar during intermittent operation. The ultimate vacuum reaches 140 mbar abs. The NPK 012 delivers this high level of performance quietly and with minimal vibration.

Diaphragm liquid pump offers great advantages

In its FP 400 diaphragm liquid pump, KNF has managed to horizontally arrange five diaphragms on a single level for the first time. The new arrangement enables the FP 400 to achieve very low pulsing on both the pressure and suction sides. With this advantage, which was previously only possible with gear pump technology due to construction restraints, the FP 400 has a unique selling point. The typical secondary measures for avoiding pulsing are no longer needed. The functional advantages tied to diaphragm pump technology also come into play — this pump is self-priming and maintenance-free and can operate dry. Its flow rate of up to 4.4 l/min and its unbeatably smooth running mean the pump has a diverse range of potential applications in the medical sector.

This update is ideal for liquid circulation — for instance in devices which manage temperature, including functions such as cooling medical lasers or x-ray devices. Temperature management is also a basic requirement in vital support systems used to stabilize patients’ core body temperature. The pump’s low pulsing means it is very quiet with minimal vibration, which makes for comfortable operating behavior.

This extraordinarily smooth running combined with a suction head of 3 mH2O allows simple handling of both high- and low-viscosity media. Aggressive media are no problem either, since the pump components which come into contact with the media are chemically resistant. As usual, EPDM, PTFE, FFKM and other basic materials can be chosen.

The 5-diaphragm construction limits shearing forces to a minimum, extending the pump’s service life and preserving sensitive media. The FP 400 offers IP65 protection. The maximum operating pressure is 10 mH2O.
