ACETAMINOPHEN-L3K®

Acetaminophen (paracetamol) is used as an analgesic in many different formulations. While therapeutic doses rarely cause adverse side effects, the effect of long term treatment with acetaminophen is unclear. Cases have been reported where chronic excessive use of acetaminophen has led to hepatotoxicity and nephrotoxicity. In cases of acute overdosage, acetaminophen can cause severe hepatic damage leading to hepatic failure if untreated.

ACETAMINOPHEN-L3K®

For the quantitative measurement of acetaminophen.
Two part stable liquid. Easy to use, no additional reagent preparation required.
A single level liquid acetaminophen calibrator is included in the kit. Convenient and cost effective.
Reduced NAC interference. Confidence in results.
Suitable for use with serum and lithium heparin plasma. Flexible sample types to meet different laboratory needs.
Calibrator included in the kit

AMYLASE, DIRECT

For many years, the levels of serum and plasma amylase in patients have provided needed evidence for the diagnosis of acute pancreatitis. Early assay techniques were based on either a change in the absorption maxima of the complex between starch and iodine as the amylase degraded the starch; or a measurement of the increase in reducing groups as the starch was hydrolyzed by the amylase. These methods are not as reliable and easy to quantitate as spectrophotometric methods using a defined substrate.

AMYLASE, DIRECT

For the quantitative measurement of amylase (a1, 4-glucan-4-glucanohydrolase, E.C.3.2.1.1) activity in serum and plasma.
One part, stable liquid; ready to use reagent. Easy to use, no additional reagent preparation required.
Short reaction time with no lag phase. Faster throughput on automated analyzers.
Excellent precision. Confidence in results.
No significant interferences from triglyceride, glucose, ascorbic acid, bilirubin or hemoglobin. High reliability of testing and fewer re-tests.

ASPARTATE AMINOTRANSFERASE (AST/SGOT)-SL

Elevated concentrations of aspartate aminotransferase result from a myocardial infarction, or hepatic disease. In cases of hepatic necrosis, elevations of AST concentrations occur prior to the onset of clinical symptoms such as jaundice. To a lesser extent elevated concentrations are indicative of diseases of some internal organs.

ASPARTATE AMINOTRANSFERASE (AST/SGOT)-SL

For the quantitative measurement of aspartate aminotransferase.
Can be run as a two part or single part reagent system. Easy to use; no additional reagent preparation required.
Wide variety of chemistry analyzer applications available. Flexible testing
Calibrator: DC-Cal Multi-Analyte Calibrator

Control: DC-Trol Multi-Analyte Control Materials
