Probes for Electrohydraulic Lithotripsy (EHL)

  • All flexible EHL probes can be ordered sterile or non-sterile
  • Probes are highly flexible but keep their position
  • Precisely worked probe tip for reproduceable shock waves
  • Rounded probe tips help insertion in endoscope and protect the endoscope
  • Centered plasma helps maintain distance to tissue (advantage bipolar over coaxial electrodes)
  • Special gastroenterology probes for use with mother-babyscope, SpyGlass®, cholangioscope or ultraslim gastroscope (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, ERCP)

EKL (Electrokinetic Lithotripsy)

Fast kinetic pulses are generated in an electromagnetic field and transmitted to a rigid rod. In the rod steep longitudinal shock pulses are forwarded to the tip. The stone which is in close contact to the tip is effectively fragmented. Can be used in the ureter (tight ureter stones), urinary bladder and for percutaneous kidney stone fragmentation.

  • EKL handle with exchangeable rigid probes
  • Compatible to Lithotron EL 27 Compact
  • Autoclavable rigid probes
  • Low-vibration: secure and sensitive handling possible
  • Reduced stone repulsion due to hard, short punch
  • Rigid probes can be used for many treatments
  • Diameter available from 0,8 - 2,0 mm
