AutoCollect™ - Automated micro-volume samping cards

High quality specimen collection cards designed for laboratory automated equipment. The cassette format of the card with high stiffness provides a suitable fit with main laboratory automated equipment available on the market, allowing reliable DBS card processing, from detection of dried blood spot to the preparation of samples ready for LC/MS analysis. AutoCollect™ cards can successfully be employed in pharmacokinetic and toxicokinetic, drug metabolism, clinical and preclinical studies, human identification, Biomarkers screening and Viral load testing.

BioSamples collection cards

Ahlstrom-Munksjö BioSample collection cards, designed for micro-volume sampling, transport and ambient storage of biological samples, are made of white and pure absorbent filters for reproducible collection and contain no wet-strength additives or chemical, minimizing possible interferences for reliable analytical results. Drying racks are available to facilitate drying of cards at ambient temperature. These cards are suitable for HIV viral load testing, infectious diseases screening including Hepatitis B, C and Syphilis, protein-based dried blood spot analysis, genomics, forensics and human identification.

GenReleaz™ and GenReleaz™ Color - DNA elution cards

Thanks to  their features, these cards facilitate rapid elution of nucleic acids and make DNA ready for downstream analyses in less than 30 minutes with a simple elution protocol. GenReleaz™ cards in a white format are recommended for easily identifiable samples, including whole blood. GenReleaz™ cards in a pink format, are useful for clear samples, including urine, saliva and buccal cells. These cards are suitable for a wide range of applications including forensics, molecular diagnostics, human identification, pharmacogenomics, research genotyping, transgenic detection.

GenSaver™ and GenSaver™ Color - Long-term DNA preservation cards

GenSaver™ and GenSaver™ Color specimen collection cards are treated with a new-to-market proprietary chemistry allowing long-term preservation of DNA at ambient temperature. The fiber-based material of these cards is made of pure absorbent fibers, impregnated with a proprietary chemical formulation intended to prevent environmentally induced degradation for long-term ambient preservation of DNA. The cards are suitable for a wide range of applications including human identification genomics, animal identification, plasmid screening, transgenic identification.

Ahlstrom-Munksjö offers a wide variety of high quality absorbent filtration media designed for use in flow-though and lateral flow and dipstick devices. Our customizable next-generation absorbent, conjugate and sample pads, as well as plasma separation media, are specifically designed to provide improved consistency and high reliability in performance, reducing production time, resources required and cost of chemicals. 

Lateral Flow Absorbent Pads

Customizable absorbent pads designed for Lateral Flow Immuno Assay applications guarantying the highest level of purity and quality. Our absorbent pads collect the liquid processed through the strip by capillary action, increasing consistency of the flow and preventing backflow of the liquid. The newly designed absorbent pad grade 440 offers an intermediate thickness and absorption capacity between our standard grades 222 and 270, exhibiting exceptional dimensional stability and a high wicking rate given to its consistency of a blend of cotton and glass fibers. Our products are available in sheets and rolls in custom sizes.

Lateral Flow Conjugate Pads

Conjugate pads designed for Lateral Flow Immuno Assay applications representing a rapid, cost-effective, easy-to-use solution for achieving reliable and consistent results. They can be chemically pre-treated and customized in terms of cutting and packaging to better meet your requirements. Our glass and polyester conjugate pads are suitable for a wide range of diagnostics applications such as infectious disease screening, pregnancy tests, drug abuse monitoring, animal screening and food and beverage testing. They provide improved conjugate line dispensing and performance consistency, reducing time for test completion and costs of reagents.  Ahlstrom-Munksjö glass and polyester conjugate pads provide improved conjugate line dispense and performance consistency, reducing time for test completion and costs of reagents.

Lateral Flow Plasma Separation Pads

CytoSep® single layer plasma separation media consists of high purity natural and synthetic fibers for whole blood diagnosis. CytoSep® is widely used for rapid separation of plasma from whole blood samples in lateral flow applications, retaining blood cells while allowing serum to flow rapidly. The untreated media contains no chemical interfering substances and shows no significant binding of plasma components. The newest CytoSep® products, HV and HV Plus chemically treated, are designed to separate increased volumes of whole blood within the same area of media and for the prevention of hemolysis.

Lateral Flow Sample Pads

Our sample pads offered in varied materials and porosities for use with different types of liquid samples, offering options to designers of Lateral Flow immunoassays. Ahlstrom-Munksjö pads provide sample absorption and pre-filtration, controlling the distribution and the flow of the sample on the conjugate pad. The sample pads are produced under closely monitored and tightly controlled conditions for the highest level of purity, consistency, and reliability in lot after lot to support our customers’ short-term and long-term success.

Qualitative Filter Papers

Ahlstrom-Munksjö qualitative grades of filter paper are recommended for use in analytical methods which determine or identify particulate constituents of a mixture irrespective of the amount present. These filters are often used in routine separation work that still requires high purity and consistent performance. Our qualitative filter papers cover a wide range of laboratory applications including liquids clarification, qualitative analytical separations for precipitates, buffers filtration, soil analysis, food and beverage testing.

Ahlstrom-Munksjö manufactures a series of extremely high purity, acid washed filter papers, from top quality cotton linters using ultra-pure, deionized water and further treated with dilute acid to remove any remaining organic and inorganic impurities. Our quantitative filter papers cover a wide range of laboratory applications including analytical and gravimetric analysis. All Ahlstrom-Munksjö qualitative and quantitative grades are manufactured in a strictly controlled environment that ensures high uniformity and high purity from filter to filter.

ReliaDisc™ - Sterile and non-sterile membrane filtration media

Ahlstrom-Munksjö offers gridded sterile membranes packed individually specifically designed to save time when performing colony counting and microbiological quality control. These cellulose nitrate membranes are available in a 47 and 50 mm ready-to-use standard size and support optimum colony growth. Gridded membrane filters for easy colony counting are also available. We supplies a wide range of plain white non-sterile microfiltration membranes used to remove particles and microorganisms from various organic solvents and aqueous solutions.

ReliaPrep™ and ReliaMAX™ Syringe Filters

We offer a wide variety of syringe filters for convenient sample preparation and fluid sterilization. ReliaPrep™ Syringe Filters are offered in several different membranes and sizes to accommodate a variety of sample matrices for demanding sample preparation and microfiltration applications such as sample clarification/particulate removal, filtration of solvents used for chromatography applications, filtration of biological samples, tissue cultures, proteins and nucleic acids, sterile filtration and venting. Our syringe filters are available in sterile, single packed or non-sterile packaging.

ReliaMAX™ high capacity syringe filters are developed to make the task of purifying samples and solutions more efficient. These syringe microfilters can be used in any laboratory setting where there is a need for filtering vicious media with a syringe. ReliaMAX™ is a high performing microfilter for clarifying solutions, removing particles and preparing samples.

Micro-glass & micro-quartz filters

Ahlstrom-Munksjö offers a full range of glass micro-fiber filters manufactured from 100% pure borosilicate glass. Because of their intrinsic properties, these filters have wide applications in many areas of laboratory analysis, especially when fine filtration and high loading capacity is required. Glass micro-fiber filters are also found in the filtration of hot gases and liquids, and in pre-filtration. Our micro-quartz filters represent a complete offer for airborne particulate monitoring in high temperatures and aggressive atmospheres or when the lowest level of Trace Elements Analysis is required. These extremely pure 100% quartz filters have a temperature stability up to 900°C.

Ahlstrom-Munksjö manufactures, in Europe and in the United States, absorbent papers made of the highest purity cotton linters. These media do not contain an additive of any kind, thus preventing any contamination during the transfer steps. Our absorbent papers are produced with a wide range of thickness and absorption levels for optimal wicking capabilities, drying and blotting in any application. Each media is specifically designed to ensure high quality and consistency. Close surveillance in tightly controlled conditions ensures the highest uniformity, consistency, and smoothness of the sheets in all grades. This contributes to clean and even transfers during blotting. Fields of use include chromatography, electrophoresis, Northern, Western and Southern Blots, antibiotic discs and Seed Germination Testing.
