Zeus has been providing high performance polymer extrusions to the medical community for more than 50 years. Now we have expanded our capabilities to include polymer coatings for a variety of applications. We were among the first extrusion companies to provide components for minimally invasive surgical techniques. From our earliest PTFE heat shrink extrusions to our MRI-compatible LCP monofilament, our catheter components continue to raise industry standards. We have provided device makers with the thinnest PTFE catheter base liners so far with our StreamLiner™ series. These liners can reach wall thicknesses as low as 0.01016 mm (0.0004″). Our Tie Layer coating increases catheter liner-to-jacket bond strength, while our polyimide coating provides the foundation for micro-sized tubing for super-small catheters. PI Glide™ is our high-lubricity polyimide-PTFE composite for low friction applications. To help you finish your catheter construction, our FluoroPEELZ® peelable heat shrink fusing sleeve tears evenly and easier. FluoroPEELZ® leaves a smooth and even surface after removal from the completed catheter construction.
We offer more than just catheter components for our medical customers. Addressing an enduring need, Zeus Aeos™ ePTFE Suture Monofilament (ASM) is a permanently implantable material that can be swaged onto needles up to a 1:1 needle-to-suture ratio. Provided unlicensed, ASM allows surgeons to create their own suture lines and raise their brand awareness while they raise their level of patient care. Similarly, Zeus Bioweb™ composites are a biocompatible non-woven microporous material produced from electrospun PTFE. Bioweb™ is designed for implantable applications. This product can attain thinner profiles than ePTFE making Bioweb™ preferred for small vasculatures. Bioweb™ can be used for encapsulations, stent coverings, coatings for 3-D substrates, and a variety of other applications. Bioweb™ is available license-free through a technology transfer agreement allowing you to cover your own stents or other implantable devices.
