SteriZign Precision Technologies Custom sterilization trays, cassettes and caddies
SteriZign Precision Technologies is a provider of pre-validated, pre-engineered and customizable sterilization trays, cassettes and caddies, for medical device developers, healthcare distributors and hospitals. Our deep clinical expertise allows us to anticipate avoidable design obstacles that hamper effective daily real-world use. Standard sizes and configurations are available through selected distributors, or they can be tailored to meet the configuration needs of individual medical devices.
SteriZign offers two lines for reusable device manufacturers. Optimyz™ semi-customizable containment devices are pre-engineered and pre-validated cassettes and trays with standardized sizes, perforations, brackets and latches. These units are then customized with the manufacturers choice of plating, colors, branding/labeling, and custom-designed silicone inserts to organize and support each unique device during storage, transport and reprocessing.
The second option is the Kustomyz™ highly customizable line of containment devices, which allows medical device innovators to create the ideal organization, storage, transport and sterilization system for each of their unique devices. Designed specifically for more complex instrument sets, they are engineered from start to finish around the devices, implants and/or screws they protect. Customers can select options within the following design elements: tray dimensions, brackets, latches, handles, coating, finish colors, and labeling and branding.
Our FDA-cleared cassettes and trays can be plated using standard industry options such as Type ll or Type lll anodizing, but we also offer the new patented MICRALOX® plating that is validated for all current methods of sterilization including steam, vaporized hydrogen peroxide and ethylene oxide. MICRALOX produces a long-lasting, virtually indestructible surface that delivers dramatically superior chemical corrosion resistance, eliminates color fading due to super-heated steam, and is an excellent alternative to stainless steel, plastic, and other materials. MICRALOX Lumina coating achieves 16 times greater resistance than Type II decorative anodizing in a hot alkaline strip test. Unlike conventional anodizing and hard coat, the partially crystalline anodic coatings of MICRALOX Lumina hold up over a lifetime of regular cleaning and sterilization without fading, chalking, or corroding. When combined with SANFORD PRINT™ the resulting finish and print provides validated performance for aluminum medical components such as trays, cases, cassettes and instruments. The finish and print remain clear and unchanged over the service life of the piece.
In addition to SANFORD PRINT, SteriZign also offers standard silk screen printing, laser etching, and newly released SANFORD PRINT DFF, multicolor digital printing with embedded ink entrapped below the coating surface, suitable for flat surfaces. With this process, multicolor direct-from-file logos, stencils, images and marks are permanently embedded in anodic coatings.
