GENERAL WARD TEAM

RespiraSense provides continuous, non-invasive, electronic respiratory rate monitoring, ensuring the early detection of respiratory failure and the future prediction of patient escalations in care.

NON-INVASIVE RESPIRATORY MONITORING
RespiraSense is the world’s first continuous and accurate discrete sensor that measures the mechanics of respiration. This gives medical staff the earliest signs of possible patient deterioration from conditions such as respiratory compromise, increasing severity of sepsis, worsening pneumonia, and oncoming heart attacks.
RespiraSense supports the general ward team by providing continuous monitoring that delivers clinically accurate data, ensuring a more precise early warning score is maintained throughout the patients stay.

BENEFITS OF RESPIRASENSE FOR GENERAL WARD TEAMS

  • Discrete and patient friendly
  • Acts as a preventative tool
  • Provides better long term patient outcomes

About us

Company details

PMD was founded to void the fundamental clinical need to measure patients breathing rates, which if amiss, is a significant indicator of an adverse event.

During 2010, working with Cork University Hospital’s Emergency Department and resident Professor of Emergency Medicine, Mr Stephen Cusack, we developed a new to world technology that revolutionises the way this lost vital sign is measured.

OUR SOLUTIONS IMPROVE PATIENT CARE AND MEDICAL OUTCOMES ACROSS THE GLOBE.

Since its inception PMD has developed ground breaking medical devices for the monitoring and diagnosis of respiratory conditions with the fundamental belief of making every breath count.
