I-STOP is a non-deformable sling made in monofilament of polypropylene. It has been the first non-deformable monofilament sling invented back in 2002. Since, the sling didn't change and there is an extensive clinical validation.

I-STOP TOMS has been one of the first transobturator male sling launched in 2006. The surgical technique has been validated by several anatomical studies, then a large prospective study has confirmed the efficacy and safety of the implant.

Company details

CL Medical has invented, back in 2002, the non-deformable monofilament sling for female incontinence. The company is providing a new generation of sling, supported by an extensive clinical validation. This technology helps to prevent the rope effect and benefits to the patients: less post-operative bladder symptoms, less erosions, very efficient for ISD and revisions.

The company has one of the longest follow-up with the same – unchanged sling technology since 2002.

In 2006, the company launched a new type of male sling, the TOMS. A clinical paper published in the Gold Journal of Urology has confirmed the quality of the results. An increasing number of surgeons are using this technique with success.

All the manufacturing is made in-house in France, where the technology has been invented. 

CE mark and ISO 13485 has been renewed in 2017.
