E. coli O157:H7 Rapid Detection Kit, 20 tests

The E. coli O157:H7 Rapid Detection Kit is a qualitative lateral flow test that specifically detects E. coli O157:H7 in enrichment media.

The test is based on the use of an E. coli O157:H7-specific antibody.  The reaction between the enriched positive sample and the gold-conjugated antibody will form a complex that migrates along the test membrane.  An immobilized capture antibody will form a red line at the test line (T) area upon reacting with the sample/gold complex.  An internal control line (C) is included with the test cassette to assure that the test has been processed correctly. Total test time is 20-25 minutes from sample addition.

Specifications:

Kit Contents:

E. coli O157:H7 test cassettes, 20 cassettes
PBS-010 – Sample Diluent Buffer (1X PBS Buffer Solution), 10 mL
Storage Temperature: Store at room temperature.

Shipping Temperature: Ambient

Stability: The E. coli O157:H7 Test Kit is guaranteed to perform as designed up to the date recorded on the product label when stored as instructed.

Gold-in-a-Box™ Conjugation Kit, 20 nm & 40 nm, 18 mL

The Gold-in-a-Box™ Conjugation Kit, 20 nm and 40 nm, contains the reagents required to prepare highly-reactive antibody or soluble protein gold conjugates that can be utilized in lateral-flow assays.

The key to most high-performance lateral-flow assays is the ability to covalently attach antibodies/proteins to gold nanoparticles. The Gold-in-a-Box™ Conjugation Kit enables optimal binding of an antibody/protein to our Naked Gold 20 nm and 40 nm highly concentrated gold sols, while retaining a high degree of specific activity through adjusting the pH of the gold sols to slightly above the isoelectric point of the coating antibody/protein. This is done through a series of pH titrations with the provided buffers. The Gold-in-a-Box™ kit allows researchers and assay developers to quickly (in less than 50 minutes) determine the pI and optimal coating conditions for your antibody or soluble protein and to perform the conjugation reaction. A sample preparation and gold conjugation procedure is provided.

Reagents are also provided to coat the resultant gold conjugates on polyester of glass fiber ribbon.

Kit Contents:

NG20-B009 – Naked Gold 20 nm Concentrated Gold Sol at 15 O.D./mL, 9 mL

Human Rena-strip Kit, 25 tests

KIM-1 is a type I trans-membrane structural glycoprotein located in the renal proximal tubule epithelial cells.  These cells undergo regeneration after various forms of injury and shed KIM-1 antigen into the urine.  Thus, urinary KIM-1 is an early and specific biomarker for tubular kidney injury.  KIM-1 has become widely recognized by many organizations and agencies, including the FDA, as an excellent biomarker in pre-clinical studies to monitor acute kidney tubular toxicity by identifying adverse reactive drugs and therapeutic agents in drug development.

Kidney injury caused by therapeutic agents and drug induction is a common type of injury requiring appropriate monitoring and intervention.  Current standards using blood urea nitrogen and creatinine are considered late indicators of kidney injury and are often non-specific.  KIM-1 has been shown continually to outperform traditional biomarkers of kidney injury in preclinical biomarker studies. The detection of KIM-1 can occur in as little as six hours post injection of an agent known to cause kidney injury.

The Human Rena-strip test is a 15-minute qualitative (or quantitative with optional reader) lateral flow assay. Human urine samples are added to the cassette and results can be read within 15 minutes.

Specifications:

Kit Contents:

Human Rena-strip cassettes in white foil pouches with dessicant, 25 cassettes
Storage Temperature: Store at room temperature.

About us

Company details

What We Do

We focus on rapid, easy-to-use, lateral-flow immunoassays. We develop the crucial reagents, such as gold sols, gold conjugates, gold ribbon, etc. that are the backbone of any high-performance lateral-flow device. Superior reagents, coupled with our development and manufacturing expertise, yield superior assays. See our brochure.

BioAssay Works, LLC (BAW) powers the development of the finest rapid immunoassays. Utilizing our high sensitivity concentrated gold sols, high-performance gold conjugates, and our patented lateral-flow test platform, BAW develops and manufactures rugged lateral-flow tests that rival the sensitivity of ELISA. These tests can be read visually for quick positive/negative results or with simple instruments for more quantitative results.

BAW offers a growing line of products that enable researchers and assay developers to create their own rapid assays. In addition, we are the assay-development partner-of-choice for both early-stage and established companies. We have the capability to manufacture and package your rapid assay, regardless of the volume required.

Why Choose BioAssay Works?

PERFORMANCE – Our gold sols, critical for assay sensitivity, work better. Improved sensitivity, fewer steps—no centrifugation required—to a completed assay.  Our patented assay platform works better.  Samples are exposed to conjugate pads for longer, allow better mixing and better results. We empower the DIY developer with the high-performance reagents necessary to make great assays!

RESPONSIVENESS – We strive for the highest levels of responsiveness to our customers. This means better communication, faster turnaround times, and exceptional customer satisfaction.

RESULTS – Our development and manufacturing capabilities offer you a turnkey option for assay development. We can develop, manufacture, package, and label completed tests that meet your specifications.

BAW has developed a wide variety of assays for our clients, including assays for:

  • Disease biomarkers
  • In-process testing of pharmaceutical products
  • Food allergens and agricultural targets
  • Pathogens and toxins
  • Veterinary applications
  • Characterization and quantification of monoclonal antibodies
