CurveBeam was founded in 2009 by a group of individuals with a proven track record in the advanced and compact 3D imaging device domain. The company designs and manufactures Cone Beam CT imaging equipment for the orthopedic and podiatric specialties. CurveBeam is privately owned and operated.
CurveBeam's pedCAT system was cleared by the FDA in April 2012 and received CE Mark approval in September 2013. Systems have been installed across the United States, Europe, Australia and China.
In 2017, CurveBeam's InReach system, a multi-extremity CT optimized for hand, wrist & elbow imaging, was cleared by the FDA.
In 2018, CurveBeam's LineUP system, a multi-extremity CT system that provides bilateral, weight bearing scans up to the knee, was cleared by the FDA.
The pedCAT works in conjunction with CubeVue, CurveBeam's custom visualization software.
CurveBeam's corporate office is located in Hatfield, just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. CurveBeam is proud to state that the pedCAT system is made in the U.S.A. and that most of its major components are produced by local suppliers. In September 2013, CurveBeam opened CurveBeam Europe LTD's office in London to act as the company's Europe headquarters.

The introduction of point-of-care Cone Beam CT imaging revolutionized above the industry and was instrumental in the advent of custom dental implants and improved practices in orthodontics and oral surgery.
