MIRA - Play your way to recovery
MIRA turns physical and cognitive exercises into video-games, making therapy easier to follow.
Medical rehabilitation can be a cumbersome and sometimes painful process. Approximately 70% of patients do not follow their therapists recommended home exercises and take longer to recover.
MIRA displays these exercises as video-games and asks patients to complete the recommended movements to progress through each game level. The patients performance data is tracked, capturing improvements or issues for the therapists to adapt the treatment accordingly. As each patient requires careful planning, MIRA is designed as a tool for therapists, to enable specialists to customise MIRA for each individual.
MIRA is registered as a Class I Medical Device and can be installed in clinical environments for the patients' regular treatment sessions, as well as at home where patients can be remotely monitored by their therapists. MIRA is being used in over 60 institutions, helping over 500 patients each month, 5 within the UK NHS, for a variety of neurological or MSK conditions, with the patients age ranging between 3 to 102 years old.
