In 2014, ROBO Medical cooperated with Professor Yuanfang Zheng , who is the professor of Rehabilitation Robotics Research Center, the Ohio State University in USA and the vice chairman of IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, exploring the field of rehabilitation robotics. Prof. Zheng was also hired as the agency consultant of ROBO Medical.

Remote Ultrasonic Robot

There are many poor remote areas in China, where the traffic is so inconvenience that the local primary health care institutions could hardly provide those expensive large-scale ultrasound testing equipment. On the other hand, the lack of experienced ultrasound doctors results in the fact that local residents could not do the comprehensive ultrasound tests according to their needs. Therefore, the development of the local healthcare is limited.

The remote ultrasonic robot designed by ROBO realized the separation of probe and ultrasonic instrument table, which enabled the doctors from thousands of miles away to operate the robotic arm, and then control the ultrasound probe, transferring the real-time ultrasound image data to the doctors’ computer through the cloud. In this way, the local primary health care institutions can be guided to complete the remote diagnosis and treatment.

Remote ultrasonic robots can not only help to improve the detection efficiency, reducing the heavy daily work of those overloaded doctors in large hospitals , but also can effectively ease the imbalance of medical resources due to geographical distribution, including doctors, experts and precision ultrasound equipment. This also conforms to the developing trend of primary health care.

Da Vinci robotic surgical system is the most advanced minimally invasive surgical platform with three components: the doctor console, robot mechanical arm and 3D imaging system . This technology of Intuitive Surgical Surgery was developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology .The share value of this company has gone up more than 93 times since it came into the market in 2000. The company is now valued at $ 24.6 billion and has been in top 10 list of the Forbes Top Innovators in these recent years.

The single port abdominal robotics surgical system,which is the new generation of minimally invasive surgical robot, only need to open a port in the patient's surface ,while Da Vinci surgical robots generally need to open 5 ones.This new kind of robots also introduce the force feedback system and auxiliary imaging control system to optimize the doctors’ operating experience. Compared with the current porous surgical robots,they have these following advantages: higher accuracy, less trauma, faster recovery, wider application ranges.
