In St.Petersburg, there are complex of educational and scientific organizations: about 10% of all higher educational institutions of Russia are located here; 40% of the economically active population have a higher education, more than 350 scientific research organizations, 12 state scientific centers, and 60 organizations of the Russian Academy of Sciences work here.
