EasyRA - Clinical Chemistry Analyzer

Medica’s EasyRA® analyzer is a fully automated clinical chemistry analyzer that accommodates the diverse needs of small laboratories.

Lab technicians become experts with minimal training thanks to a simple and intuitive user interface. Four color-coded icons guide the technician through all analyzer functions. EasyRA is quickly operational and ready to run samples. Friendly displays clearly signal the progress of a run and easily allow changes. Technicians can analyze stat samples in less than 8 minutes. Save valuable time by programming the next worklist while another worklist is running, or simply check reagent and cuvette inventories to prepare for the next run.

The EasyRA clinical chemistry analyzer offers unprecedented access to all replaceable components. Its unique, slide-out drawer makes maintenance quick and easy. RFID technology eliminates the need to manually program reagents. When the smart reagent wedge is placed anywhere in the reagent area, EasyRA identifies location, number of samples remaining, sample volumes, and expiration dates.

With 150 tests per hour (>300 with integrated ISE), 24 sample positions, 24 reagents on board, and more, EasyRA is the easy choice for your laboratory’s clinical chemistry analysis needs.

EasyLyte - Electrolyte Analyzers

Medica Corporation’s EasyLyte® analyzer is a completely automated, microprocessor-controlled electrolyte system that uses ISE (Ion Selective Electrode) technology to make electrolyte measurements. The EasyLyte product line measures combinations of Na+, K+, Cl–, Li+, Ca++, and pH in whole blood, serum, plasma, or urine.

EasyLyte incorporates state-of-the-art electronics and an innovative ergonomic design that differentiates it significantly from competitors. The analyzer also stores quality-control data that is easily accessible. Patient histories are immediately retrievable for evaluation.

EasyLyte analyzers combine simple yes/no prompted operation, low maintenance, and high reliability into one economical design.

40,000 EasyLytes have been sold since the analyzers release.

EasyBloodGas - Blood Gas Analyzers

Medica’s EasyBloodGas™ offers traditional blood gas analysis in a new compact format. The small footprint saves space and integrates easily into laboratory workflows.

Calibrating gases and liquid buffers are combined to create a convenient reagent module containing single-phase calibrants. Gas tanks are eliminated.  All analyzer components are designed into simple modules, easily accessible to the user. Routine maintenance is limited to the replacement of the reagent module, electrodes, and a single pump tube.

Medica’s EasyBloodGas analyzer measures pH, PCO2, and PO2and calculates 11 additional parameters. Patient parameters, including FIO2 and Hb, can be entered using the digital keypad and integrated into patient results. Measured and calculated results are displayed and printed. Simple menus guide the user through analyzer operation.

Medica’s EasyBloodGas is designed to meet the laboratory’s need to deliver sample results economically. Compact electrode design and precise control of calibrator volumes ensure economical operation and a low cost per sample.

EasyCell assistant - Hematology Imaging System

The EasyCell® assistant is a state-of-the-art hematology system that uses image-processing and pattern-recognition technologies to automate white cell differentials. EasyCell automatically locates white cells on a blood smear, preclassifies the cells, and then presents them to a technologist for review on an LCD display. The hematology system typically reduces sample review times by 50% over the manual differentiation method using a microscope while helping the technologist achieve improved efficiency, accuracy, and precision. Additionally, EasyCell presents images of red cells and platelets for performance of red cell morphology and platelet estimate.

EasyCell assistant employs sophisticated optical pattern recognition software to automatically locate and preclassify normal white blood cells, smudge cells, NRBC’s, and variant lymphs. Images of these cells are then displayed and grouped on the display by cell type for confirmatory review. The system then locates and displays abnormal white cells and places them in an “Other” category so the technician can manually classify them. Technologist attended time required to review each slide is reduced from 5 to 8 minutes to 2 minutes or less!

EasyCell performs consistent WBC cell location and pre-classification and is especially helpful to less-experienced technicians. Image review or image transmission to other laboratories for consultation is possible because digital images of each cell are permanently stored.

EasyElectrolytes - Electrolyte Analyzers

Medica’s electrolyte analyzer, EasyElectrolytes™, focuses on the laboratory’s need to deliver sample results economically. The unique electrode design, combined with precise control of calibrator volumes, ensures low-cost operation and faster test results.

The EasyElectrolytes analyzer measures Na+, K+, Cl–, and Li+ in whole blood, serum, urine (not applicable for Li+), and plasma. Results for a 55 µL serum sample are displayed and printed in 35 seconds.

With a larger display plus simple yes/no prompted operation, the analyzer requires little technical training by laboratory technicians before use. A convenient reagent module contains all liquid calibrants. Components are packaged into three simple modules, easily accessible by the user. Routine maintenance is limited to the replacement of the reagent module, electrodes, and a single pump tube.

Advanced software and hardware, including an optional bar code reader, track all analyzer results. The analyzer monitors calibration, electrode response, calibrant usage, and other functions. Snap-in electrode design, combined with precise control of calibrator volumes, ensure economical operation and a low cost per sample.
