An Innovative Select adhesion Liquid Silicone Rubber product by Medical Silicones
By Dr. Pennadam Sivanand, R&D/TS&D Manager, Medical

15 November : 12.10-12.40PM

A growing need of medical device manufacturers is to combine hard and soft components which present innovation opportunities for material suppliers.  Providing silicones which can cure at sufficiently low temperatures, with reasonable molding cycle times, when overmolding with self-adhesive liquid silicone rubber materials is dependent on the plastic substrate to be used.  With applications of respiratory care, enclosures and external communicating devices benefitting from components such as copolyester, new silicone technologies have been developed to be utilized by two component and insert molding processes.  Dow Corning continues to expand our product offerings allowing our customers options to suit their needs.
