Which requirements do future operating theatres and intensive care units need to fulfil?
This is the issue that the FH Campus with its OP Innovation Center (OPIC) project and adjacent intensive care unit is looking at in detail. Its interdisciplinary research as a unique centre of expertise in the OR sector enables it to analyse and optimise both technology and processes during operations. The extraordinary research infrastructure enables both proven and new medical, air conditioning/cooling and information technology systems to be tested, evaluated and further developed.
Following a preparation period, the project was presented to the public on 7 November 2017 and the technical progress is new being driven forward. Mr. Dr. Thomas Meininghaus, General Manager at TRILUX Medical GmbH & Co. KG Germany, took part in the podium discussion and reported about the motivation and expectations of the project.About the FH Campus Wien:
