New design for 75 mm Tango castor

We have redesigned the 75 mm Tango castor. The appearance and the features of the new design are equivalent to those of the 100 mm and 125 mm Tango castors, and now the Tango 75 offers the same unique advantages: functionality and mobility,  protection against finger injuries in the brake pedal,  two different shapes of the brake pedal and modern visual appearance of the delicate, curved fork. Due to the new design, the castor is easier to keep clean.
The outer measurements and technical features of the castor remain unchanged. The new castor model has the same fixing, wheel and standard colour options as the old model.

Bumper for Tango castors

Made for mobile trolleys and similar devices, bumpers protect both trolley or equipment as well as doors and walls from damage in the event of a collision.

The form of the bumper emphasises the commendable design of the Tango castors. The soft thermoplastic rubber surface on the outer edge does not leave any marks. It absorbs sound and shocks and can endure hard use. The bumper can roll freely.

The bumper can be mounted on the adapter or the expander of a Tango castor. It can be used on Tango castors with either a tubular or square expander, or a threaded stem. The bumper is suitable for Tango castors of all sizes: 75 mm, 100 mm and 125 mm. The standard colours are grey (RAL 7042), light grey (RAL 7035) and black.

Two-stage Tango brake

The two-stage braking is designed to be a practical solution of combining directional-lock and total-stop brake castors from two different castors to just one solution. This is done by separating the directional lock and wheel brake function. The brake pedal has two positions. Pressing the brake pedal to the first position will engage the directional lock. Pressing the brake pedal further to the second position will engage the wheel brake for a total lock. Two-stage Tango brake is suitable for devices that needs both, directional lock and total-stop brake, but can be engaged separately. Available initially in Tango castors 125 mm.

Now we can offer Tango castors' outstanding qualities for these difficult environments. The non-magnetic castor is now available not only in 100 and 125 mm sizes but also in 75 mm, as swivel castors without brake and with total stop brake, with threaded stem and rectangular top plate. About us

Company details

Manner has produced high-quality castors since 1920's. The driving force behind the company’s business activities is its over 100 years’ experience in working metal and later plastic. Manner’s product range includes thousands of different castors.

The leading castor manufacturer in the Nordic countries

In Finland, where Manner castors are already a concept, the company is the market leader; in the other Nordic Countries Manner is a leading castor brand. Manner trolley and roll container castors and Tango equipment castors are internationally renowned and valued castor solutions. Approximately two-thirds of production is exported. Manner’s distribution network in Finland covers the entire country, and a global representation network includes over 20 importers. Manner has one subsidiary, Manner Poland, in Poland.

Product development has been brought close to customers to match their needs. Substantial investments have always been made in quality, product testing and design. In 1995 Manner was awarded ISO 9001 quality certification and in 2001 the ISO 14001 environmental certificate.

Traditions and skills make Manner unique

Operating since 1890, Manner is a Hanko-based family company whose first products were sheet metal work. At the turn of the century, the nationally famous Finnish biscuits “Hangon Keksi” were packed in metal containers manufactured by Manner. Over the decades, business activities have expanded into such fields as mechanical engineering, steel component production and metal casting.

Castors made from sheet metal have been in production since the early 1950s. Castors were later selected as Manner’s core business area, and the first castors made from plastic raw materials were produced in the 1960s. Since 1974 castors have been Manner’s only product group.

The present Managing Director, Mr. Tapio Manner, represents the fourth generation. Since the 1980s the company has concentrated on strengthening its own product family and expanding its activities in global markets.
