·         The polyurethane film offers excellent breathability yet is impermeable to liquids, bacteria and viruses.
·         Improves the quality of life of patients while using temporary or permanent central catheters.
·         Eliminates the discomfort caused to patients when the current dressings are removed.
.         Reduces the time required for healthcare personnel to place and remove the dressing, together with the postural discomfort caused.

AMICATH - Perfusion catheter in AMI

Amicath® dilatation and coronary perfusion catheter is a rapid exchange catheter for percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) that combines a single lumen in its proximal section (stainless steel hypotube with teflon coating) and a double lumen in its distal section.
The external lumen in the distal section (flexible polymer dotter tube (Pebax)) has a progressive diameter to obtain the dilation effect and has 4 distal holes for the infusion of liquids (drugs or contrast medium) through a female luer lock. The other lumen (flexible polymer guiding lumen (Pebax)) enables the passage of the guide wire, to help advancement of the catheter into and through the stenosis to be treated.
In the proximal section of the catheter, in the hypotube, there are two markers to help position the catheter in relation to the tip of the guiding catheter, in the absence of fluoroscopy. The marker located closest to the catheter luer is used to guide the position from the femoral access, and the furthest one is for brachial access.
In the distal section, close to the tip, there are four golden radiopaque markers spaced at 10, 20 and 30 mm in relation to the most distal mark, in order to locate the lesion to be treated in situ and to estimate its length, provided it is less than 30 mm, in conditions of fluoroscopic vision.
The catheter ends in a conical tip that is rounded and atraumatic in order to penetrate the thrombus that is completely occluding the vascular lumen. The catheter then widens progressively up to a maximum diameter of 1.42 mm to enable the “dotter” dilation effect as a previous step to the subsequent implantation of a stent and/or PTCA device, as well as allowing local drug administration and performance of an angiography distal to the thrombus by administering the contrast medium with the Amicath® itself.
Finally, the catheter has a stylus and a sheath as protection elements for the distal section. They are included during the packaging of the product.
The product is marketed sterile, packed inside a peelable Tyvek pouch. The sterility assurance level (SAL) of 1 x 10-6 is achieved by exposing the product to a duly validated sterilisation process using ethylene oxide.

BIONERT - Inert coronary stent

BIONERT coronary stent System. Tubular Stent open cell with alternative bridges connection spiral arranged. Surgical 316 LVM stainless steel modified by oxygen ion implantation by plasma immersion. The oxygen ions are implanted at 1 micron depth in the structure in order to obtain not a coating but a treatment where the oxygen ions enter in the metallic structure of the stent.
In this way, the heavy metal ions remain blocked, avoiding their release into the blood.
The characteristics of the ionic implantation ensure:
• No delaminating, No cracking.
• Dimensional stability.
• Blockage of the heavy metal ions.
