We would like to cordially welcome you to our fourth up!date for MEDICA 2021.

Five weeks ahead of MEDICA today we provide you with details on the most important stand services for your guests. Have you already planned catering for visitors to your stand? And are you aware of the order form for stand personnel? You will learn this and more in this up!date.

And don’t forget: we offer you the hygiene concept as well as the icons for download in German and English language. You can use this data to inform visitors at your stand about hygiene measures.

Obligation to provide evidence: Vaccinated – Recovered - Tested

All trade fair participants must prove at daily checks that they have tested negative for Covid-19 or have been immunised (recovered, vaccinated) beforehand. Otherwise they will not be admitted.

There will be a daily access control of the relevant proof:

Vaccinated: Proof of vaccination and/or vaccination certificate. Vaccination must have been completed more than two weeks prior. For the vaccination certificates, all Corona vaccines approved in the EU are accepted. These are currently the vaccines of the manufacturers BioNTech/Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Janssen Pharmaceutica NV. Unfortunately, other vaccines cannot be accepted. In such cases, a negative corona test result (PCR or rapid test) from an official testing centre that is not older than 48 hours is required.

Recovered: Positive PCR test result between 28 days and 6 months old.

Tested: Negative test result (PCR or rapid antigen test) issued by an official test body not older than 48 hours. Self-tests brought along will not be accepted.

The proof of vaccination must be carried as digital proof (Corona warning app or CovPass app) or as a printout with QR code. The international vaccination certificate in accordance with the requirements of the World Health Organisation (WHO) is also accepted. For our guests from abroad, the EU digital COVID certificate is also accepted if it complies with the European certificate requirements (app or printout with QR code). Non-European vaccination certificates without QR code are also accepted, provided that vaccines approved in the EU were used.
All certificates are accepted in German, English, French or Italian. In the case of French or Italian, English must be indicated as the second language. Personal ID documents will also have to be presented.

However, large parts of our international exhibitors have currently received vaccines that are not (yet) approved in the EU and are therefore dependent on test evidence as an admission requirement.

In this case, there will be an official test centre on the Düsseldorf exhibition grounds with which you can conclude a contract for the testing of your employees for the duration of the fair. Please contact the operator of the test centre directly or you can find an overview of rapid test centres in Düsseldorf
