Epilepsy: Automatically detecting and documenting seizures with AI
Up to now, the detection of epileptic seizures has been difficult and – especially in the case of minor seizures – inadequate. This is about to change. In the future, a sensor device and artificial intelligence will be used to collect comprehensive data and thus improve the care of those affected. In an interview, monikit co-founder Kevin Klett and Prof. Dr. Yvonne Weber, Head of the Epileptology Section at the University Hospital Aachen, explain how the overall system works and what positive effects it could have on the treatment of patients.
