Automated packaging for higher medication adherence rates
Automated packaging systems can make medication intake much easier. Patients who have to take several tablets at different times of the day often face the challenge of dosing their medication correctly. Incorrect doses can have serious consequences.
For this reason, the Dutch company Global Factories has automated and optimized technologies for packaging and checking multi-dose medications. This enables hospital pharmacies to work more efficiently and increases patient adherence by up to 40 percent.
In the interviews with Chief Operating Officer Arno Bracco Gartner and Andrea Kerkhof-Brown, Quality Officer, you can find out how personalized blister cards and pouch systems ensure greater safety and how the special "vision technology" supports the verification process. Their major goal is to improve medication adherence and increase treatment results.
