Smart diabetes management with diafyt

Dear Sir or Madam,

Diabetics know it: Their condition requires them to be mindful to control their sugar metabolism and to prevent hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia. At the same time, blood glucose that is badly regulated is also a risk factor for other diseases in the long run. The Dresden University of Technology and the Leipzig start-up diafyt now want to make diabetes management easier. Learn in our current interview how AI, a smart insulin pen and novel sensors work together to achieve this.

Stay healthy!

We all make mistakes from time to time or forget to do things. But people with diabetes can have serious health problems if they miscalculate or inject the wrong insulin dose. A research team from the Dresden University of Technology (TU Dresden) and a startup from Leipzig aim to make living with diabetes easier for patients thanks to a combination of self-learning AI and a high-tech insulin pen based on innovative semiconductor sensors to measure glucose levels.
