The fight against COVID-19 has healthcare providers, like National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH), taking additional measures to stop the transmission of infectious diseases in their facilities. NTUH is a leading hospital in Taiwan and a role model for implementing safety protocols during pandemic. Preventing the spread of the virus within the hospital is a great challenge given the sheer number of people going in and out every day: around 8,000 medical staff, 10,000 outpatient visits, and one family member per admitted patient. The hospital is constantly cleaning the facility, and this includes computers.
A key feature of the MLC8 feature is it can be easily and thoroughly cleaned without needing to shut it down. This feature uses an on-screen button that locks the screen during cleaning, so it is not possible to accidentally enter a command.
