– In order to provide even smoother and considerably longer operation of their VM38 voice coil motor, Geeplus has developed a new version which incorporates redesigned bearing races in order to provide the shaft with a virtually friction free movement.
In addition to the reliability of stroke through its lifetime, Geeplus has life tested the component to show that it will meet the requirements of 100 million cycles without renewal. This type of operational life is essential when the motor is being used in situations where high degrees of reliability are required such as medical equipment.
The VM series of voice coil motors addresses applications where excellent control characteristics for short stroke bidirectional linear actuation is required such as those in medical or optical equipment.
The Geeplus VM series of voice coil motors are designed as actuator components with incorporated shafts and sliding bearings as standard to ensure accurate guidance of the coil assembly within the magnet assembly. Optionally, Geeplus voice coil motors can be shipped without the shaft and bearings and can also be completely customised in other sizes and form factors as required
Geeplus is a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of precision electromechanical actuators. You can find Geeplus online at www.geeplus.com, as well as on social media on LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube and Google+.
