Miniaturization and reliability

STÜKEN MEDICAL is your development partner in medical technology
Rinteln, July 20th, 2020 – In times of increasing miniaturization, STÜKEN MEDICAL guarantees reliable quality even with large quantities and minimum component size. A deep-drawing process for micro parts developed by STÜKEN still sets standards today. The tiny functional parts for applications in the fields of infusion or solenoid valves can be manufactured only with extreme precision. The in-house finishing processes such as electropolishing, passivation, assembly or heat treatment offer advantages for individual application solutions. Class 7 / GMP Class C clean rooms are available for special cleanliness requirements.

The prerequisite for the industrial production of these miniature products was the development of a special deep-drawing process for components with dimensions of less than 1 millimeter. The materials used are metals such as stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, but also non-ferrous metals, nickel-based alloys and tantalum. Here, STÜKEN, as the world's leading supplier of high-precision formed parts, was able to develop efficient solutions based on decades of experience. An important element is a special coating which enables high-speed assembly and guarantees reliable function. The process reliability in the production of these micro parts is exemplary. A further significant advantage are the finishing processes available in-house. With comprehensive service, the family-owned business offers everything from a single source: Ready-to-install solutions from an efficient and largely internal process chain with extremely reliable quality.

Founded in 1931, deep-drawing specialist STÜKEN has decades of experience in the processing of a wide variety of materials, from common metals such as steel, copper, nickel and aluminum to alloys such as stainless steel and brass but also materials that are difficult to form such as molybdenum, niobium and titanium. The product range of the global STÜKEN Group is unique and currently comprises over 2,000 different articles. Above all, customers appreciate the company's expertise in deep-drawn parts with particularly high degrees of forming, with unusual contours or with extremely small dimensions. STÜKEN offers a spectrum of finishing processes that is unique in the industry. In addition, the group has a well-functioning network for developing intelligent solutions for specific applications together with partners. STÜKEN MEDICAL customers benefit from ready-to-use components for direct further processing in their production. With validated cleaning processes, STÜKEN MEDICAL guarantees the desired cleanliness - micro-parts included. A particularly high level of cleanliness can be achieved by finishing in Class 7 clean rooms according to DIN EN ISO 14644 and EU GMP guidelines Class C. Reliable quality and extensive service are the promise of STÜKEN MEDICAL. The technology leader is certified according to ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 and guarantees conformity to standards, reliability as well as secure and validated processes with its quality management.

STÜKEN MEDICAL will be providing information about its extensive expertise including numerous finishing processes such as electropolishing, passivation as well as heat and surface treatment at this year´s COMPAMED in Düsseldorf from November 16th to 19th, 2020 in hall 8A, booth K10. Technical experts and project managers will be available for discussions on site.
