CONTROL KNOBS - MODERN ROTARY KNOBS WITH HIGH OPERATING COMFORT

With the new CONTROL-KNOBS, OKW Gehäusesysteme offers an advanced series of rotary knobs as a central element of menu-controlled interfaces. The grip surface made of soft-touch material enables easy gripping, a pleasant feel and ergonomic operation. The high-quality appearance can also be illuminated if required.

The modern CONTROL-KNOBS are designed for user-friendly use and consist of hard and soft plastic components: Button base body made of high-quality PC (UL 94 HB), encased in a soft TPE material with a functional grooved look. Due to the soft-touch material, the new knobs have a high grip with anti-slip effect. The CONTROL-KNOBS are mounted using collets which guarantee a secure fit on the shaft - ideally suited for rotary potentiometers/pulse generators with round shaft ends according to DIN 41 591. For final assembly, a cover made of PA 6 (UL94) is attached to the base body. The CONTROL-KNOBS are available in the standard colours nero and vulcan in the following sizes:
  • ø 36 mm, with axle hole 6 mm and 1/4" (6.35 mm)
  • ø 46 mm, with axle hole 6 mm and 1/4" (6.35 mm)
Both sizes are available with/without lateral pointer line for fine scaling. As an optical highlight for the ø 36 mm version, an optional illumination sets an impressive accent. The smaller CONTROL-KNOBS can be equipped with energy-saving SMD LED technology for individual lighting results. In this variant, the basic knob body is not traffic white, but made of translucent material. This results in the following lighting options:
  • Ring optics on the cover surface
  • Ring optics on the top surface with lateral pointer line
For the illumination of the ring, the base available in the accessories range, together with the LED illumination (RGB backlight), is necessary. Application areas include measurement and control technology, medical and laboratory technology, smart factory, communication and much more. In order to adapt the buttons to special customer requirements, they can be modified by means of printing or laser inscription on the cover surface/lid.
